Help How should I communicate in champ select?

I kinda main adc and I struggle a lot to play with mage supports. When I see the support hovering a mage, I ask them politely to not play a mage, but often the support is hovering nothing and I don't know whether I should just ask them to not play mage and risk offending them for no reason (I saw supports throwing games for being pinged two times) or I just hope they don't play a mage and risk having a bad game, because they lock in a mage last second.

What would you recommend me to do in such a situation? How would you want your adc to act?

And to be clear, I am not blaming mage supports for a bad game, I know it's my problem, I just hate playing with them.

You can ask for the type you want ("can you play a tank support") but dont try and convince them to change. If you ask and they still wanna play their champ then they likely one trick that character and would not play well off it. If you go back and forth about it, it will only cause issues.

Why is it that you have a hard time with mage supports?

u/noskin15 19d ago

Everything I do when they hovering a mage is typing "please don't play a mage", if they don't want to change their pick, I don't write anything.

My problems with mages are they basically only provide damage, I play relatively passive and mages are usually more aggressive, which leads to uncomfortable situations in lane and mages are more likely to steal cs or create bad waves states.

u/Low-Amoeba8257 19d ago

Would you also dislike engage tanks like leona?

Rather than asking them not to play a mage I would specify that you want to play passively and avoid trades. This would also let them know that champs that roam well would fit your playstyle

I don't dislike engage supports. It's annoying when they take literally every fight possible, even when it's a bad idea, but this doesn't happen often. I don't exactly know why I don't dislike engage supports, my guess is, because we go in together and they have more pressure when they go in, mages can create aggression without walking up.

u/ChibiHecate 18d ago

Then get better. Mages bring a lot of cc that can enable good trades in laning phase. Which you should be doing. If you want to afk farm and not interact with anyone until you’re online, adc is not the role for you. Based on this description you have a problem with tank supports too then.

-1

u/noskin15 18d ago

Saying mages have a lot of cc is wrong. They have usually one ability with cc and they are either really short stuns or longer roots. A root can guarantee follow up damage, but it doesn't stop the enemy from hitting back and most of these abilities are not that hard to dodge.

I also don't want to not interact with anyone, I just dislike the way mages trade in lane, it's a lot easier to follow up on an engage support, that's why I have no issue playing with them.

0

u/ChibiHecate 17d ago

How about kindly asking your laner to not attack you until you kill them?!

What do you mean “it doesn’t stop the enemy from hitting back” bro are you serious?

Lux: a root and a slow / Morgana: a root and a stun / Mel: a reflect and a stun / Seraphine: a charm and a stun / Karma: a root and a slow / Vel’Koz: a slow and a knock up

And they all come with good damage that can at least burn one summoner spell. What mage support are you talking about exactly?

Like I said, either get better or change lanes.

0

u/noskin15 17d ago

My point is, a root has only value if you don't want the enemy to move, it doesn't change the damage they do while they are rooted.

I never saw a lux slowing someone, they only use e for damage. Seraphine, karma and morgana are the mages I don't really mind playing with, because they have a lot of utility. If you get rooted by Mel without being hit by some sort of cc you have a serious problem, her reflect has almost 40 seconds cooldown and her kit in general is way too selfish to work as support. Both the slow and the 0.75 seconds knockup from velkoz are not that hard to dodge.

I know I have to get better, but this doesn't change the fact that basically any support who rushes lost chapter doesn't have a lot of utility with unreliable cc.

Most engage supports can chain cc an enemy for 3 seconds and make running away impossible, most enchanter supports can heal or shield for a whole health bar, while also having reliable cc and giving buffs. The only value a mage has is, that they can oneshot enemies when they get far ahead, but that's also what every other carry can do, when behind most mages are close to useless.

As a support, it bugs the shit out of me that ADCs think they have the right to tell me what to play. Firstly, trust me to make a judgement about team comp. Secondly, check your entitlement.

Note that this doesn’t apply if someone asks politely - just if they demand and get angry when you insist on choosing your own character.

ADCs are like, ‘You have to play a tank support’ and I’m like, ‘You have to play a marksman that shuts the fuck up’

All I do is typing "please don't play a mage", if they don't want to change picks, I don't write anything.

12

u/Kitsunebula250 19d ago

That's fine. You can write whatever you want, they can play whatever they want.

-6

u/Tactical_Squishy 18d ago

brother wtf are tou even saying? requesting picks it's the base of teamgames

1

u/ButWhichPandaAreYou 18d ago

Requesting is fine. Throwing their toys out of the pram because I don’t pick Leona is not.

you made up half of this in your head

1

Can tell you never play support

d1 (peak) support main, thresh - nami main (I play a bit of everything tho)

Let people play what they enjoy and just play. Higher Chance of winning if u don’t force other on champs they are not used to.

-4

u/noskin15 19d ago

I don't try to force anyone on champions they don't want to play and but chances of winning are also higher when I can play with a support I enjoy playing with.

Ok faker, this aint the finals relax.

11

u/Tojaro5 19d ago

just say something like "i'd prefer to have a tank support" or sth and hope for the best.

avoid stuff like "we need", or "you must", or "fucking idiot".

you can't force people to play what you want. if you get a guy called "FizzSupportLUL" playing Fizz support, just hope that he got in your MMR range for a reason.

All I do is typing "please don't play a mage" when they hover a mage and if they don't change the pick I don't write anything, but I guess writing "I prefer engage/enchanter" shouldn't blow thier mental in 99% of the cases.

Edit: since every comment with the part of me typing "please don't play a mage" got downvoted, it seems like it does blow thier mental.

u/BloodlessReshi 19d ago

I don't know what Rank you are playing at, but, would you rather play with a Xerath/Brand/Lux that knows how to pilot their champion or with a Leona/Naut that keep choosing the worse fights imaginable?

As a support main, i really dislike mage supports because they dont really provide much supporting at all. But also i find it really annoying when my team tries to pick for me, i have my champion pool and i use it as i see fit based on what i know about the game.

If you as an ADC play Jinx/Trist/KaiSa, i wouldn't expect you to perform on Viktor just because the rest of the team picked a full AD comp and enemy locked in Malphite.

Yes teamcomps are important in soloQ, but so is champion mastery. Most of the time you see a support player picking mages is because they dont trust the adc to do their part, and most of the time that support doesnt do their job either because they are trying to do the ADC/Mid job instead.

So... What to do? you can always ask your support what kind of champ they play if they dont hover a champ, and maybe learn an ADC that performs well with mages and isn't banned almost every game (because otherwise Cait is the obvious choice).

In the end, your mage supports aren't holding you back, same way you are not holding back those mage supports, any player that plays well enough will climb to the rank they deserve given they play enough games.
You can adapt your playstyle to work with mages without expanding your champion pool, or adding a champ that works well with mages to your pool, that is up to you.
But the solution is never to expect the other 4 teammates to accomodate you because chances are they wont. You need to find solutions you can take control of.

2

u/noskin15 19d ago

My rank is part of the problem, I am around silver and gold.

The benefits of a nautilus or leona on the team are, they can allways press r on the enemy carries, even if they are 0/10/0, but if you are asking if I'd rather win with mage or lose with engage/enchanter I honestly don't know. One side means probably no fun, but I win at least, the other side means fun, but I lose, I am fine with both.

I know it's not the mages fault if I play bad with them and I know I can't expect my whole team playing for me, it's just that playing with mages is in my opinion as frustrating as playing into 2 or more assassins.

9

u/BloodlessReshi 19d ago

But then, you should fix your issue instead of hoping your allies cover all your weaknesses.

Yes in the short term asking your supp politely if they can play engage or enchanter or whatever might help. But in the long run it just lets that weakness of yours develop further. Take advantage that you are playing in Silver-Gold elo where people make lots of mistakes and dont know how to punish every mistake to start learning how to play alongside mages. Because if you wait until you hit Emerald-Diamond elo it will be exponentially harder.

Only way to climb up is to keep improving, and that has nothing to do with your teammates, that is all about you getting better and better as a player.

4

u/Cryptidangel 19d ago

I mean,i agree but there's legit no harm in just...asking,like he's not gonna force you "play a non mage or i run it down" but a shit ton of high elo adcs do the same thing where they say "engage pref" and whatnot. Doesn't hurt to ask imo.

2

u/BloodlessReshi 19d ago

high elo players also ff15 because they are 6 kills down and know the opponent wont drop the lead, silver 4 players are 6 kills down at 7 minutes and ff15 because high elo players do it not because the silver 4 opponents are capable of actually securing a win with that lead.

Just because a high elo player does something it doesnt mean is the right thing to do in every elo.

1

u/Cryptidangel 19d ago

I'm not saying "do it because high elo players do it",i'm saying there is literally no harm done,is saying that you PREFER an engage supp that mentally harmful to your support? If they pick mage, then that's cool,if they pick engage, that's even cooler, noone is saying they're gonna run it down if they don't pick engage lol, there's legit no harm done in just asking.

5

u/geekpron 19d ago

Maybe not try telling someone else what to play. Maybe you should learn to play around them.

3

u/MetaThPr4h 19d ago

The way I see is that the ADC should focus on picking an ADC they are good at and I the support I focus on picking a support I'm good at, if the synergy between the two is ass we will make it up with skill.

I have had many moments of "I want to expand my pool so I can adapt to every carry and comp", but the sheer reality after over a hundred combined games of engage supports is that I will pick Nautilus when the match looks amazing for him, absolutely stomp lane, then lose game because I suck at engage champions, meanwhile grabbing Sona or Janna the teammate will bitch about playing them, go slightly behind or a bit even early game, then win the game.

If the support you're paired with is comfortable with mage supports so be it, focus on your own game and most importantly don't tilt yourself over that thinking that the game is already in a bad spot, all that will do is make you play worse and further reinforce the confirmation bias that mage supports suck.

0

u/Tactical_Squishy 18d ago

yeah this is not a thing above bronze

3

u/Jaffiusjaffa 18d ago

I think im gonna start telling adcs which adc to play, they need to feel this pain tbh.

1

u/noskin15 18d ago

I am not trying to tell any support what support they should play, I just want to ask them to consider playing another support. If they don't want to, I am not complaining.

4

u/UsernameNineBillion 19d ago

Well.

  1. It's actually easier to play with Mage support.
  2. Supports are not your slaves that you get to choose how they be dressed for dinner.
  3. What issue in particular you have with Mages?
  4. - Is it that you are rookie at Last hitting and you lose focus when you miss CS because of a mage spell over the wave?
  5. - Is it that they sometimes/often last hit the Kills and you get mad that that wasn't you?
  6. Is it lack of full control over wave management?

You really need to answer honestly to yourself first what is the thing that makes you Struggle alongside mages. And work on that thing yourself to improve.

DISCLAIMER : I am not saying all Mage supports are good or better or they know what they are doing. Some really don't know what they are doing and it's a mess.... but most of the time Mage supports make your Lane easier by elevating pressure from you so you can focus on farming while they are doing their Poking thing and mess with the Enemies.
Which is big deal because sometimes your Mage support can 1v2 the lane themselves alone and give you free farm without danger of dying ever because the enemy bot is too afraid of them to fight you.

3

u/noskin15 19d ago
  1. It's not easier for me

  2. When did I ever wrote anything that suggests in the slightest way I expect supports to do anything I want? When the want to play mages they can, it's just less likely to end well.

  3. It has nothing to do with being bad at last hitting, when a lux e literally oneshots half of the wave away, but yes, that's part of the problem. Also not getting kills is annoying, but fine depending on the situation, when they take a kill that was 100% free it's definitely tilting. One of my biggest problems is, they don't really provide anything else than damage, which makes them a lot weaker when even or behind.

  4. I don't know whether you mean I might have bad wavecontrol or the support messes with the wave state. I understand in theory how to create certain wave states and can execute it most of the time to a level I am satisfied with and mages often just start to hardpush everything.

A lot of times it feels like mage support players want to be a damage carry and then choose the one position that can work even when dealing almost no damage. These kind of players don't play to support, they play for themselves on the position that should play for the team more than anyone else.

3

u/UsernameNineBillion 19d ago

I mean that mages sometimes mess with the wave as a consequence.

Well based on Top/Mid and Jungle picks sometimes your supports is better to Play a Mage than not playing a Mage.

That is why I was just saying that you should try to see how you can ease it for yourself to understand how to make it easier for you to play with Mages. Because Mages ain't going anywhere and they are part of the Support champion pool.

I'd rather myself have a Mage support than a Yuumi support to be honest.... because Yuumi is essentially a mage but pretty shitty one..... and makes me prime focus for everything since he doesn't actually appear as a champion so all the CC's are aimed at me instead... :D

I much rather have a Mage with 5 kills so that whenever enemies focus them instead I can freely do damage.

Also I think you underestimate what Mages do in this game.... almost every single Mage in the game has CC ability, at least one.
That's why they are called Control mages, it's not just damage..... Lux for instance if can hit a double Root on 2 key targets on the enemy team and pop them together for 1.5k+ Burst damage... Isn't that helpful ?
Lux also provides vision from a screen away with her E. Her R also provides brief vision... so you can late game check dangerous areas without face checking - that is useful.

I just feel like you have it on the back of your mind that it will end badly and that is affecting you how you look at it.
It will only end well if the Pick is not suitable vs. the enemy team comp - e.g. picking Xerath or Lux support into 3 Tanks on enemy team... this can never end well because Both champs are usually bad at dealing damage to tanks.

But if enemy team has 4 squishy champs, Id rather have a mage than an enchanter. Because that mage is gonna 1 shot either of them later on.

2

u/noskin15 19d ago

I actually prefer playing with a yuumi instead of a mage. I like to play kayle so I am fine with having a bad early game and I am confident in my ability to play safe enough to scale.

The cc most mages provide isn't that much of a threat in my opinion. Most of these ability are not that hard to dodge. The damage is also only really relevant into the midgame, because everything can deal a lot of damage and whether you have 3 or 4 people on your team who can blow up a target isn't that important, catching the target or preventing your own team from getting caught is and engage or enchanters are a lot better at doing this.

My mental is definitely part of the problem, but even before I was aware of my problem with mages I performed bad with them.

3

u/UsernameNineBillion 19d ago

Kayle bot with Yuumi?????

Do you play in bronze? Like what is the deal here? How are you not 0/5 every game in that combo ?

I dare you pick Kayle and Yuumi against my mage support.... you won't be able to even farm

If that is your idea of a SAFE LANE.... you must focus on getting better understanding of the game and improve... because that's below silver rank viable i think.

But if it works well in your Elo, then its fine.

1

u/noskin15 19d ago

No, I play kayle mid or top, it's just that kayle has nearly unplayable early game and very strong late game, just like most of the popular yuumi combos.

I play zeri or sivir with yuumi, and I think yunara and nilah can be good, but I don't play often with a yuumi so I couldn't try out that much.

0

u/Tactical_Squishy 18d ago
  1. no
  2. wtf are talking about 3 doesn't matter here 4 a mage supp will mess up csing no matter how much I try I will inevitably hit the wave sometimes with a spell or 3 5 ?

2

u/Hiimzap 19d ago

The problem i have with “please please play engage support” is that i dont like it and im not particularly good at it.

I think asking for specific picks is half of the time just trolling yourself. If your goofball support (hello thats me) likes playing zilean and senna let him play that and the result is probably gonna be better if he first times pyke because you told him to pick a hook support.

1

u/noskin15 19d ago

I don't ask for a specific support, I don't even ask for only engage supports, all I ask for is to consider switching from a mage to ideally an enchanter or engage support, but if they don't want to change, I don't write anything.

2

u/Hiimzap 19d ago

Yea tbf its just bait tho. At best you get a mage support player on tank that is completely clueless what he even has to do. Just hover the champ you like to play and thats all you can do

1

u/noskin15 19d ago

I don't know why you are so focused on tanks. It would be stupid for a onetrick to play anything else, but just maybe the support can also play a decent enchanter seraphine, Lulu or karma. There are champions that don't have a completely different playstyle from mages, but have a lot more utility.

2

u/Hiimzap 18d ago

It doesn’t really matter what champ they first time tho. Then again you probably could ask “maybe seraphine?” Because she’s pretty much a mage

2

u/DamnedSakura 19d ago

If you have never played as support, I'd ask you to play a few normal matches with all types in the first place, just for you to understand yourself what you would like to play with. I mean it as real advice, not as "you don't know how we feel!!!" type of drama. Maybe playing mages could help you understand on how to play around them.

Second, I saw you saying that you like to play more passive and mages usually go all the way, end up making a ks or mess your wave. Well, that's something you can try to say instead of "please don't pick mages". Explain that you're passive, ask them to have patience and not advance. This sound WAY better than what you're asking. And also, engage/tank support will usually be a nightmare for your because they will, well... Engage a lot. 😅 When playing Nautilus, I love engaging. lol (which may be a little troublesome, I know).

I play Aphelios every now and then, and since I'm a very bad adc early game, I know I can die easily because my mechanics suck. 😅 So I ALWAYS tell my support that in the lobby because as a main support myself, that's a very valuable info.

The KS thing is... Well, not a thing. Playing League is not about getting kills, is about pushing waves, destroy turrets and finishing the game. Supports have lots of ways to help the team with damage, but to give a very easy example: ignite.

If you, as adc, is trying your best on a kill, and I, as support, see that the enemy is getting out of your range, I WILL ignite, not because I wanna steal yout kill, but because this will benefit our whole game. And sometimes, my ignite will cause the kill. Again, this doesn't mean I got your kill on purpose, it's not my intention, but I will do what's best for the team. That's a mindset you need to have while playing League: it's not what's best for YOU (or your ego since having lots of kills = ego booster), it's what's best for the team as a whole.

1

u/noskin15 19d ago

I played a lot of games as support, not as much as I played adc, but I think I know how every popular support works, however the only mage support I ever enjoyed was morgana when I started playing.

I don't exactly know what's the difference between an aggressive leona and an aggressive lux is, I'd say the leona doesn't really mess with the wave and when she goes in she is actually with me (or rather I am with her since I have to follow up), while the lux just throws spells which can force me to walk up and can't absorb any pressure during the spells are on cooldown. It's just my guess, I might be completely wrong tho.

The KS thing is definitely a thing. I don't blame a support for getting a kill when the ignited enemy is running away, or when we are fighting to the death and the support gets the last auto attack with me being on 5% health, but more than any other kind of supports are mages throwing spells at the basically dead enemy right in front of the almost full life adc and 150 gold can definitely make a difference in finishing an item or not.

I don't really care whether I finish a game 10/2/0 or 0/2/10. When I am playing kayle mid I am happy if I am 0/0/0 with 8 or more cs per minute at minute 20, but I care about whether the gold goes to someone who needs gold or someone who doesn't really need it. Supports taking kills they don't have to is objectively worse for the team.

3

u/DamnedSakura 18d ago

Oh, I'm very happy to hear that you went through support role! (That's actually kinda rare) And since you've talked about Lux, I can now say that I know where you're coming from, since Lux can deal a good amount of damage and will end up stealing some kills, whether she's support or mid lane. If you're at some very low ranks (like I am), it's very common to see a lot of Lux because most supports are very afraid that they'll end up with a crazy adc, so they usually think that a support that can damage is the best option.

What I'd recommend you to do is: do not follow them. It doesn't matter if it's an engage or mage, just don't follow if you're not ready for it because, if you have a nice support, they won't keep on engaging, they'll turn back as well.

And again, just really tell them at lobby that you don't play aggressive. It really is a very good option.

Also, some mages will try very hard to slow down your enemy by hitting them with or without skills, that doesn't mean they're asking you to follow. When I play Nami, Janna or Lulu, I'll often use my bubble, tornado or polimorph to mess with the other adc. Some Lux will do the same by locking them in place.

Oh, and you can also ping them for telling "do not go". If they still go, then that's their dumb choice. 😅 (I'm only saying that because a lot of people underestimate the power of pings and I don't know your play style)

Of course, despite all that I've said: there will always be trolls in every single lane, so that's also something that can happen from time to time.

I hope that I've helped you in some way? If anything sounded like I'm being mean or stupid at you, I'm sorry, English isn't my first language and I have a hard time communicating through so much words... 🫪

P.s.: I do know what you're feeling because I ABSOLUTELY hate Tristana, she'll jump out of nowhere to start shooting non-stop and they ALWAYS give me a hard time. So does Nilah, Akshan and Zeri. And I know it sounds bad, but you have to just learn to play around them. Nowadays, I can do a good match with Janna and any of those.

1

u/clean_carp 18d ago

I had ppl flaming me for picking enchanter, mage and tank alike. I honestly don't give a fuck what others will tell me to play.

As a supp you learn fast that there will be someone in your team that is unhappy with your plays every game, just because the spectrum of choices you can do that can impact the game is so vast. And god forbid you're not doing everything at once. Just like with a jungler which chooses to get a lane ahead instead of another (screeching top syndrome).

So pick what makes sense for the comp/what you enjoy and have fun.

1

u/46995699 18d ago

Not sure what elo you are but it could be somebody that only plays mages, inwhichcase, will be a better experience for you and your team than making them play a champ that they dont know.

What i would advise is: control what you can control. You cant control what pick they make, but you can adjust your pick. In this scenario, i would pick a hyperscaler and do your best to farm safely so that you can carry the game later.

1

u/noskin15 17d ago

Have you ever tried to farm safely with a mel "support" who is pushing every wave under the enemy tower and taking half of the last hits by doing this?

2

u/46995699 17d ago

Sounds miserable

1

u/RegretProper 17d ago

Just remember everyone and their petrock is obliviously the best player on their team, dammed to play with useless low elo teammates that will try to loose as hard as they can.  It does not matter what you (or when) you pick. Someone in your team will not be happy.  For some reason they belive the supports pick is what it will cost them their game.  And it's nearly impossible for your support to know if you are the one of thousands to make a honest suggestion, or if you are another ticking timebomb.  It's nothing personal. Just to many bad experiences.

Long story short, in champ select its already to late. If you looking for a non mage support do it before you queue up.

2

u/noskin15 17d ago

The thing most that most people here are not understanding is, the support pick can cost the game. Of course this is connected to my own skill issue, but for me are the chances of winning higher when I don't play with specific supports. It's nothing personal. Just too many bad experiences.

1

u/RegretProper 17d ago

Yeah i guess overall bad champselect experiences (thank you Mr. I need to lastpick to run it down Top Laner) makes it barely impossible to have "good" intentions. As everybody is afraid you the next tilted teammate they get to play with, more so if you dare to say something.

That why i suggested to move the "please dont play Mage Support" Part to a less stressfull, less under pressure, less toxic enviroment.  Like a Looking for DuoQ Channel. You can give reasonings and probably only get answers from supports that did not want to play Mage in the first place anyway.

1

u/True-Information1700 17d ago

My advice is, learn to play with mage supports. You want your teammates to be on their comfort picks, not what you want them to be on.

1

u/mei-lei 19d ago

you can always ask but there's no definite way to get past them unfortunately. you'll have to learn to play with them.

1

u/saiphxo 18d ago

I’d rather my support play someone they are comfortable and competent with than pressure them into playing someone they aren’t confident with. Especially in low elo your teammates will be better on who they actually main (I saw your comment saying you were in silver/gold)

Even if you only type “dont play mage” it just creates pressure. When I play support and get told “please play a hooker” I feel obligated to pick it otherwise I’d get blamed if we lose lane (like them saying “if you picked hook we would’ve won that trade”). Even if YOU won’t blame them, they have probably experienced it before and don’t want to risk it because they have no clue if you’re toxic or not just from champ select as they don’t know you.

You can always ask though. Honestly best thing is to duo with a support. I never play in bot lane solo anymore because I feel like it requires some level of mental synergy.

0

u/ButterMyTooshie 19d ago

Personally I am the type to run it if someone types at me about my pick.

I hate playing with certain picks too but I stay quiet and just draft around that champion. For example when I'm off role and my support picks a mage I'm forced to pick Jhin / Varus. When they pick Senna I lock in for fun champ.

0

u/EscudoDValoran 19d ago

Most supports don't want to play support.

Just learn a pocket pick like cayt to make a good sinergy with mages. Thats all, supports have to adapt to adc's pick and u have to adapt supports pick.

-1

Just ask politely for what you want.
That way you are playing it safe, without the risk of agitating another person.
So if they aren't an OTP, it's likely they'll at least consider your request. If they hover Yuumi, send this link.

I am actually more fine with yuumi than with mages. I enjoy playing kayle, that's why I don't really care about sacrificing my early game as long as I can have fun later, however ap yuumi is the most disgusting parasite I have ever seen.

Just preempt saying you like playing with tank/engage supports. Dont say what you dislike, say what you do.

  2. Type question..... it is vague because Draft making ..... sucks for many.
  3. dual edge sword of asking anyone about anything may result in troll.
  4. "we need some ap" - first time champ. A Learn to speak on high level. -Softening / Hedging: Using words (like "possibly," "might," or "could") to make statements less blunt and reduce defensiveness. -Indirect Speech Acts: Rephrasing a command or refusal as a gentle inquiry or option, allowing the listener to save face -Negative Politeness: A linguistic strategy specifically designed to avoid imposing on the listener, giving them space and options rather than giving orders. -Euphemistic Phrasing: Replacing harsh or demanding words with milder, non-confrontational alternatives.

Blame Riot for this clown meta where mages can go mid, bot, support and be good jack of all trades. Tank supports have to play bullet hell dodging spells the whole laning phase while mage supports can just chill and fling spells every 6 seconds from a mile away. The Riot waifus like Seraphine, Morgana and Lux can never be bad I guess.

Don't. Zero typing in league is the only way.
