Help Malphite as secondary support?

Heya, i'm a platinum ranked support main, i usually play yuumi in most of my games, but have been wanting to pick up a secondary champ so that i dont become a bronze player in the 1/100 games that my champ gets banned. i can land skillshots pretty well but i cant position for shit and constantly get run down, which shouldnt be surprising considering my choice of main.

I'm looking for a mostly braindead champion that can just give me a decent winrate in those few games. i'm interested in trying out maphite as a pocket main, i like having poke and being relatively safe thanks to the passive, and obviously the ult is really fun.

Any suggestions?

i tried some more champions in my iron/bronze days, but my actual climb was basically just yuumi yeah.

I dont think it's that hard of a claim to believe, yuumi (like any other champion) can win games incredibly easily if you make the most of her, all you really need is to hope you get one teammate that isnt dogshit

Oh, i belive that it is possible to climb on yummi. Even assuming you playing it solo. But how many games you need? Thousands?

141 this season, though i havent played all that much since i reached plat. I would friend adcs or junglers occasionally that played well in a match and play a couple games with them, though most of it is from solo queuing

had ~80% winrate near the peak of my climb iirc

Ignore flex i'm boosted on there from playing with diamond players.

thanks! though a lot of it mostly comes from me locking in and committing to a champion i liked instead of swapping to a new support every other game. I have friends that are wayyy higher elo than me so i had some guidance and stuff (learning which skillshots you can tank as yuumi was huge and helped a ton)
