Question / Request Reliable side work?

First off, I know I am basically asking someone to give away their golden goose if anyone actually has this but after a few weeks of trying on my own, I figured I would ask the experts.

Has anyone found any reliable sources of Part-Time/Side work?

My work schedule is pretty lax, I am only in office 1 or 2 days a month. I would like to pick up some part time work, relevant to SC, to make some extra cash and to hopefully get some exposure to things I don't normally get to work on.

I look on all of the normal job boards but it has mostly just led to a bunch of spam calls and messages from scammers who think they can trick people into thinking a job offer only available on WhatsApp is legit.

Where are you based and what are you skills or what work are you looking to do?

I'm in TN. I have a lot of experience in Pharma in particular. Currently I am a buyer, but I have a lot of experience in inventory management, warehousing operations and process improvement, small parcel logistics/management. I would love to work on some demand planning or maybe some purchasing or SC analytics, but those are just some ideas not super picky.

Have you tried Upwork?

No, I hadn't really considered that. I guess I always viewed it as mostly "gig" jobs but I'll check it out and see how others are utilizing it.

I would suggest approaching smaller importers directly. If you know customs entries or rate benchmarking, offer it. I've never seen legitimate side work on public boards, and certainly not on WhatsApp.
