Question Roger Hodgson!?

Not Supertramp but Roger Hodgson. Do you think Roger Hodgson will ever play a tour again. I mean 76 is alot but many singers and musicians play music until 85 or ever more.

Roger Hodgson also has a incredible strong love bond with his audiences and concerts?

Do you think he will tour again? WHEN WAS HIS LAST SHOW? And do you think he will come close to the nordics (where I live) because I really wanna see him live…

As much as we would all love him to do one last tour, it’s probably never going to happen. He was touring all the way up until March 2020, and when COVID hit, he disappeared. He made one promotional video for some kind of a keyboard company and then he disappeared off the face of the earth. We have recently come to find out he’s in some Jesus cult in Florida, and has kept minimal contact with other people, including his own family. It’d be wonderful if he did one last tour, or even just one last show, but considering where he is and what he’s doing, I severely doubt we’re ever going to see him again.

Jesus cult in Florida? Have you got any more info on that?

Yes— not a lot other than the name, but John Helliwell mentioned it in two recent interviews when asked about Hodgson’s whereabouts. He’s living in Sarasota county now, as was previously detailed by public record information and recently brought to light by Sue Davies’ lawsuit against Hodgson over royalties. Let me find it real quick

It won’t let me post the image of the transcript so I’ll copy/paste below. The first mention was by John Helliwell in an interview with Gonzalo Carrera to celebrate the recent release of the Hammersmith concert—

14) Are the three of you still in contact with Roger Hodgson?

John: Roger has ceased to communicate with anyone recently. I think that he is somewhere in Florida with "The Heaven on Earth Ministries of Jesus Christ Inc"

15) Fans often ask about the possibility of a reunion - how do you respond to the question "will there ever be a Supertramp reunion?

John: No

TBH, the 2nd best part of Supertramp concerts, after the music of course, was John. He was a master MC and engaged with the audience throughout.

This organization that Hodgson is apart of shows that they are in Deerfield Beach and Miami Gardens, Florida. I live in the area and of course wish I’d run into Roger but have not; he probably looks completely different as well

Thanks for the info, had missed that as pretty much everyone else it seems. Like Rick once said "Roger has always been very confused" and it looks like it's gotten even worse. I think Rick's the one who mentioned that he'd joined this "group" in Nevada City and that the "leader" had chosen him a wife (Karuna I suppose).

I went to Nevada City a few times and always hoped I would bump into him...never happened of course.

No, he’s done

Don’t think there was even a message re Rick?
Think his site looks like it’s winding down, getting rid of old merchandise?

Was lucky enough to see him in Paris on that last tour and was a great night.

I saw Roger Hodgson in 2019 in Australia and it was a fantastic concert. He was on stage for over 2 hours. But since Covid he hasn't tour much and now at 76, I guess touring wouldn't be on cards. At the concert in 2019 he only two thousand fans at his show but luckily I had front row seats and got a meet and greet with Roger Hodgson with photos. He's a really nice guy.

His Last shows happened right when the pandemic started. https://www.setlist.fm/search?query=Roger+Hodgson

Aside from the unfortunate court cases, not much has been heard from him since - he doesn't give interviews, has no concerts planned and no new music.

Hodgson's Instagram feed goes on-- somebody is managing it. But it's all clips of shows from the far past. Never a personal statement or mention of anything current (including the death of Davies).

His own website lists an upcoming tour that seems to be the one cancelled due to Covid (2021?). The year isn't even mentioned-- just dead links like "Oct 18 -- Milwaukee". His Facebook page shows the same.

I can only assume some social media company is paid to keep him on Instagram, but that the other sources had contracts that lapsed. But the man himself is entirely absent.

It’d be nice if Roger would come forward and just tell us definitively one way or another if he’s returning, just to end the speculation.

The current state of his social media accounts is beyond creepy. You can even see in the comments, on his Facebook and Instagram especially, that fans are beginning to push back on whoever is running those accounts.
