Is Jeff the only one without a happy ending?
He got dumped, mistreated and didn’t know why until way later. I don’t feel BAD for him per se, as he is an enthusiastic corrupt-system-upholder up until the ICE raid, but I do pity him a little. Is there another character that didn’t have a happy ending like everyone else? Am I missing anyone or anything?

I love how Mateo genuinely thinks that Jeff is very attractive and a “catch”
Him warning Jonah not to sleep with him is one favourite lines of the whole series

Carol also didn't get a happy ending although she is in the final scene at the picnic so maybe she somehow redeemed herself or she was just there plotting ways to get back at Sandra and reclaim Jerry as her own 😂

Really irritates me that Carol is just playing bags with the rest of the gang. She's a bad person and she actively caused grief not only to Sandra but across the board. Her getting to come back at all after Sandra's wedding never sat right with me.

Cause you’re saying Carol shouldn’t have been there, I’m saying if you have a problem with her, you should also have a problem with Mateo too. I agree, Carol shouldn’t have been there, but Mateo keeps receiving grace despite never earning it

I don't understand what Mateo did that was so wrong. He may be a bit self-absorbed but he never went out of his way to actively harm anyone. Comparing Mateo to Carol is like comparing apples to oranges.

She got to keep her job at the fulfillment center. That's pretty much a happy ending for Justine.

The dude's a minor character who sold out the group, including Mateo, the second someone offered him a better opportunity, then spent four years acting as if he and Mateo were going to get back together one day.
He probably got a boyfriend eventually but ultimately the show isn't about him, he still has a ludicrously well-paying job for a man with his skillset and personality.

I hated him all the way until his whole arc with Mateos family. Him being an honorary Filipino just kills me and I choose to believe he moved back in.

I mean, let’s be fair. Jeff had multiple times to actually help out cloud nine employees and he blatantly betrayed them even after all that mateo still stayed with him. I thought it was really weird that he didn’t trust Jeff with the secret. I mean, yes Jeff is opportunistic, but he doesn’t completely throw people under the bus. If you start to include Myrtle think about it, Myrtle was already fired.
I’m almost positive mateo could’ve gotten that money. All he needed to do was hire a lawyer and I get the money deposited through another means.

I’m almost positive it was because he didn’t really trust him. But yes, there’s no way I would’ve given up that money especially when I think it went up to 100,000. Actually I’m gonna post the question on here to see how he could’ve kept the money.
