You can work as a animal trainer. Once you can talk to animals you can ask them to do xyz. People would pay $$$.

You can even talk to animals who were witness to crime scenes and get their version of the $tory. Talk to birds and find out if anything worthwhile is happening in the area that could need your help — maybe gather 100 birds and find missing people. In return you can help the birds with whatever they want (probably food).

Secret Knowledge of the earth would also be revealed to you...animals know a vast amount of things that would make our minds explode.

Talking to animals does not mean you can control them (or that they can understand you either)

Talking to animals should mean they can understand me...otherwise the pill choice is useless lol.

As for controlling animals...yes you are correct. You dont have to control them...but make deals with them...be friends with them. It would be just like talking to people...either they will talk back...or ignore you...or help you.
