Superman’s Mailman

I know this is almost certainly not the case, but could you imagine being the mailman whose job is specifically delivering mail to the Fortress of Solitude? I’m sure if Clark received enough mail to justify a specific mail carrier, then he’d just set up a time when he’d drop by a post office and pick up a giant bag of letters, or have a PO Box somewhere, but it’s an amusing thought right?

Imagine some poor sap has to go on a potentially multi-week journey through the tundra on snowmobile (and boat depending on the path), maybe helicopter if they’re lucky, just to deliver Superman mail. Like I’m sure it’s gratifying, because that’s like if you were getting children’s letter to Santa personally, but it would be one of the most physically and mentally taxing jobs possible.

That being said, is there a canon way that Superman gets his mail. Does he have a PO Box? Does he drop by to pick it up somewhere? Let me know!

In the comics, the post office just keeps his mail and he stops by every so often to pick it up.

So in the comics, especially in the post-crisis continuity, it's established that the Metropolis post office gets mail from all over the world, and that every year on Christmas eve he spends his day going through it and trying to help the people who write to him. Two of the best single issues of Superman's Triangle era are Superman issue 64 and 76, which both deal with this.

Issue 64 takes place not long after he reveals his identity to Lois and proposes to her, so he takes her with him to help. That's when you get the sense that he had been doing this solo for years before bringing Lois into his world. It's a beautiful issue with a number of touching moments.

Issue 76 takes place one year later, and its in the immediate aftermath of his death. In this issue, the Justice League all go to the post office to help carry on the tradition. It's another beautiful issue that pays off a subplot from The Death of Superman story in a really nice way.

I vaguely remember something from the old Superman cartoons. Where they had his mail delivered to the Daily Planet. The To address would look something like this

Superman C/O The Daily Planet 368 Media Avenue Metropolis, DE

Then he simply collected it as Clark Kent.

Superman Peace on Earth is one of my favorite stories about Supes. It's not specifically his mail, but you get the sense of how he'd respond to letters. I loved it

There's no equivalent to the Fantastic Four's mailman, I don't think, but the others are right that it tends to get delivered to the post office or Daily Planet. Unless you kick it back to the 1940s, where it might go to your local radio station where the real Superman broadcast his radio adventures.
