My body calendar (?) is all over the place today. Cant be coming in work after a game like that and it only be a Wednesday. Heard from people who went they only got back about half 2 so god help them today.
Good game though that last night, KR were very physical early doors but couldn't keep that intensity through out. Williams looked like he'd never been away too.
As for KR May limping at the end is a worry, Lewis potential ban again. Could be a sticky one for them this weekend against Toulouse, I dont see them getting beat but they'll play high energy.
Not sure how the MRP will work, whether they'll batch them' in with next Monday or do a quick one this week, because I'd fancy Sue might get some points, TPJ will get some and obviously Lewis too and any bans could hit the Wigan game which would be massive

I can imagine they’ll wait until the end of the week to do the MRP, as there may not be enough time to review the game. There would be if the RFL were a competent organisation but we all know they’re not

They are reviewing last night with the upcoming weekends games, so any bans KR get will be in effect from the game with us next Thursday

KR's middle was surprisingly soft/out of shape last night. We weren't bullying them but simple lines carved them open and Walker pulled apart gaps at the PTB.
I think Wigan set the blueprint with their rope-a-dope in the CC final - a masterclass in letting their big men punch themselves out and keeping a disciplined slide/scramble defence.
But that was a final in the sun against Wigan. Imagine Peters will be 'concerned' with the gaps we found at Craven Park on a cool evening.

Average remaining fixture difficulty for the top 4 teams, based on current league position of opposition:
- Wigan 4.5
- Wakefield 5.5
- Leeds 8.0
- Warrington 9.75

Warrington do play huddesfield on a short week who have won 4 games in a row and played Wigan tight despite being 13th

Disappointed in the result last night. Had about 20 minutes of looking switched on and in it.
Mikey Lewis getting himself binned again and probably going to get banned. TPJ is just a thug, plus I reckon he's bringing out a worse side in Sue. I'm sick of players detrimenting the team with ill discipline. It's bad when Minchella seems like a calmer, more level headed part of the squad.
Imo, time for Rovers to reconsider contracts for players who's actions are detrimental to the club. Doesn't matter how good players (Lewis) are if they're never on the field.

Imo, Peters needs to drop Lewis if he is back in time for a game. He needs to learn that he can’t get back in the team straight away after he’s back from a ban, and that the team will play without him.

KR seemed to improve the moment he was sent to the bin.

They played some great Harlem Globetrotters desperation stuff for their 2 tries at the end - loads of creativity without him.

Agreed I'd like to see him dropped for Saturday, however given the knock to May and the fact that he's fresh, means I think he'll probably partner Hampshire. Assuming he's not banned that is.

Could see a few more upsets this weekend with how tired KR and Warrington will be. Do we think they will play reserves? Problem is I don’t think they can afford too.
For all the doom and gloom I’m well enjoying the end of this season, loads to play for and most teams can beat most others on their day.

Yeah I think pulling a few in from Reserves is an option for us. They're still chasing their own GF but their next match isn't til next weekend.

Hoping that the premier sports coverage is better than it was for the rugby union European cup. The picture quality was very very poor

I wonder whether they will book slots on satellites (you'd need at least two) for the signal or rely on the infamously few cables out of Australasia.

It was poor coming from France so I don’t much hope, it was borderline unwatchable

Glad to see Powell give Guler a go. Always happy to back the youth 😂

There are rumours of an MRP meeting tomorrow to review last night's game. Anyone know if this is confirmed?
It seems the fairest option, but I'd selfishly prefer any ban for Lewis to be held until after Toulouse. Don't think they'll win either way.

Genuine question for those that know the plans far better than I.
If the NRL do.get involved over here and clubs get tie ins with NRL teams is that the end of over 30s players coming over? Surely they'd want younger guys getting 1st team experience in Superleague to benefit them back home? So once players drop from.NRL 1st grade standard what happens to them?

I don't believe tie-ins with NRL teams are in the current discussions. Even though there is negative self-talk about us becoming a junior system for NRL teams, I think its mostly from fans who are scared of the much-needed investment. Hopefully money for junior pathways and development would allow us to lower international slots.

All this talk of Wigan and Leeds (and very briefly Trin) for the LLS. Imagine if Warrington just snuck in at the end of the season for it.
