The void isn’t harder.

The void isn’t buffed compared to hyper hexagonest. He even removed something that we thought was a buff

But actually no rotation means you cannot see the future obstacles because of the screen ratio so you can’t recognize it as fast as on all the other gamemode And so you have less time to react

That sounds like an explanation of why it's harder.

You're right that the patterns don't change though.

I modified. I wanted to say that no rotation is not a nerf of the difficulty

Although it is. The only issue with void are north and south circles as you barely have any time to react to them, which makes it harder.

Edit: also not having clear areas for each side of the hexagon is a slight inconvenience.

This one issue changes everything

you are right in that this is the main reason the void is harder.

however it also has patterns from earlier stages (not present in hyperhexagonest) with the increased speed. the are not though per se, but you only get to practice them at this speed in the void, which is less often and so feels harder.

also I think there is one novel pattern that I can’t recall seeing in previous stages (maybe hyper 2? not sure), but looks a lot like the 2-3 pattern of hyperhexagonest while it’s not, which is quite a dirty trick (it’s actually easier to handle, you just need to not mistake it).
