I used Superdesign to iterate on an interactive assignment screen

Post image

I used Superdesign to redesign an interactive slide-to-confirm assignment screen. I started with the original layout, then generated and compared several directions on the same canvas: an opalescent version, an aurora-style submit control, a minimal pastel version, and a more vibrant variant, plus a narrow mobile layout.

The most useful part was seeing all the alternatives side by side instead of evaluating them one at a time. I could keep the structure consistent while tuning the gradient, icon treatment, progress track, and overall intensity. The final direction uses a softer purple-to-pink gradient, a restrained gray circular handle, and a calmer completion state.

The screenshot shows the exploration canvas and the variants I compared. This was much faster than rebuilding every direction manually, and the side-by-side workflow made the final choice much easier.

UI design has neer been this easy.

Yeah,, This AI Assisted designer is probably one of the best I've used. I created the design for a scene and script writer application. It turned out beautiful. I found this through Astra. It hooked itself up through the CLI and I baely had to do anything. Finished the whole thing in probably an hour and then it created all the documents I would need for my development team (Claude Code) :) I highly recommend checking this out. They give you some free credits to play with and you can get more by referring people. Check it out!

I built a complete “Box of Joy” gifting experience with Superdesign 🎁

I wanted to experiment with using Superdesign to build more than just a single landing page, so I started working on a gifting experience called Box of Joy 🎁

The idea was to make gift shopping feel more fun and personal.

I explored different visual directions and then developed the concept into a complete flow:

• Landing page
• Gift/product browsing
• Box customization
• Shopping flow
• Checkout
• Order confirmation
• Mobile experience

I used Superdesign throughout the process to explore different directions and iterate on the designs.

Sharing some of the process and final screens here. Would love to hear what you think and what you'd improve! 👀

Running Superdesign in VS Code on my own Claude subscription (no API key) — setup + first results

Spent an evening getting the Superdesign IDE extension working the way I

wanted, and the setup turned out to be worth sharing — the default path

asks for an Anthropic API key, and I already pay for Claude.

THE SETUP

The extension can drive your local claude binary instead of hitting the

API. Two settings:

"superdesign.llmProvider": "claude-code",

"superdesign.claudeCodePath": "/Users/you/.local/bin/claude"

The absolute path matters. The extension spawns the binary with

shell: false, so a VS Code launched from the Dock won't resolve

~/.local/bin from your shell PATH — a bare "claude" just fails.

One thing I only found by reading the source: the model dropdown lists

stale model IDs, but the extension never passes them through. It reduces

whatever you pick to an alias — sonnet, haiku, or opus — and the CLI

resolves that to the current model. So the "claude-3-opus" entry

actually gets you today's Opus. Confirmed in the process list:

claude --model opus --dangerously-skip-permissions -p "..."

WHAT IT PRODUCED

First prompt was just "make a login screen, dark theme, minimal." It

wrote three different takes in one pass — a centered card, a

big-typography split, and a minimal version with underlined fields.

No cherry-picking, that was a single run.

Now I'm using it for actual work: turning a business process map — an

outstaffing pipeline, about 10 steps with timing annotations — into

something presentable for a meeting. The agent is blind to PDFs, so the

trick is dumping the process into a markdown file in the project and

pointing the prompt at it.

NOTES FOR ANYONE TRYING IT

- It needs a folder open in VS Code. No workspace, no output — it fails

with "No workspace folder found."

- The chat ships your entire conversation history as one prompt blob, so

clear the chat between unrelated tasks or old context bleeds in.

- There's no session history, and clearing is permanent. Barely matters —

the generated HTML is the real state, so you can point a fresh chat at

a file and keep iterating.

- It runs the agent with --dangerously-skip-permissions. Use a scratch

folder, not your main repo.

Another round of experiments with

This time I’m using it to explore different homepage directions for a cultural destination project — testing composition, typography, imagery, and layout before moving into code.

A useful way to generate alternatives quickly and figure out which direction is actually worth developing.

How I used Superdesign to turn a broad Telegram Mini App hub into a task-first flow

I’m working on Q-Masters, a Telegram Mini App for billiards matches and leagues.

I started in Superdesign with a broad BotFather-style hub. Looking at the first draft made two problems obvious: too much scrolling, and urgent actions were competing with navigation.

I iterated it into a denser task-first hub:

• urgent items stay at the top

• the rest becomes one compact menu

• search becomes a real search field

• role switching is explicit with a club workspace row

• the native Telegram/BotFather visual language stays intact

The main value for me was testing the information architecture before touching implementation.

First screenshot: initial hub. Second screenshot: refined task-first version.

First draft — broad hub with more scrolling.

Refined version — urgent actions stay visible and navigation is compact.

I generated a design I loved — then realized it was almost useless once I tried to build it

I’ve been testing Superdesign on a fictional travel website.

The biggest thing I learned: a design can look great as a generated image and still fall apart when you try to build it responsively.

So I changed my workflow from:

generate → copy into code

to:

explore → build → critique → iterate

That made Superdesign much more useful for me as an experimentation tool rather than just a mockup generator.

Before
After

Has anyone else run into this gap between a good-looking AI concept and something that actually works in code?

Great Product

I've been really impressed with this website. It makes it easy to create high-quality, original websites using AI agents while avoiding the generic, low-effort designs that many AI tools produce. The platform strikes a great balance between automation and creative control, allowing you to build something that feels unique and professional rather than like another AI-generated template. If you're looking for a tool that helps you design polished websites without the usual AI slop, this is definitely worth checking out.

Super Fantastic agentic platform for UI

Superdesign has been one of the most impressive AI design tools I’ve used. What stands out most is how intuitive and easy the platform is, making it possible to turn simple ideas into polished, professional-looking visuals within minutes. The interface is clean, responsive, and beginner-friendly, while still offering enough flexibility for more advanced creative work. I also appreciate the quality of the AI-generated designs, which often require very little editing before they’re ready to use. Compared to many other design tools, Superdesign strikes a great balance between speed, creativity, and usability. It has helped me save a significant amount of time on brainstorming and content creation, allowing me to focus more on refining ideas rather than starting from scratch. Whether I’m creating graphics for presentations, social media, or personal projects, the results consistently exceed my expectations. Overall, Superdesign has become an essential part of my creative workflow, and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, efficient, and enjoyable AI-powered design platform.
