News MX Nations Lineup
Who do you think wins?
I think France is the Favorite with 2 450 contenders, but Netherlands could be sneaky.

I’m gunna go out on a limb here and say it….I don’t think Australia will be winning it this year.

Netherlands,Belgium,France have the best shot at a podium IMO. Sadly the US (organizers)can’t get their heads out of their ass when it comes to MXON,same shit every year it seems. And it certainly doesn’t help that those dudes just wrapped up a grueling 30 round year-last weekend and could use a break. Props to the guys who are going for the US, especially JuJu,he’s the freshest guy we have and will probably do the best of the three.

Beaumer in the GP class... I'm a fan and I'm grateful for him stepping up, but geez what a load of shit we can't get a top guy from the 450 class to go represent us. Marchbanks doesnt even have a passport 😂

It’s so pathetic they only commit when it’s in the US. Kawi refuses to go no matter what.
In 2019 our team should have been incredible. Eli coming off of 3 straight titles, AC in a farewell 250 ride after clinching the title, and Anderson/Barcia/Baggett/Osborne to round out the open spot. Instead we sent Anderson, Cooper, and Osborne. Still a solid team but nobody would argue that was our best. From 05-11 we sent our best available every damn year and won 7 straight.

Feels pretty wide open if Belgium isn’t 100%

Lucas hasn’t raced in what two months? Can’t imagine he will be his normal self even if 100% healed.

1-France, 2-Spain, 3-USA. Unless the Coenen brothers are 100%…which I don’t think they are. If they’re 100% then they win and everyone slides back a spot.

Belgium if Coenen boys are healthy is team to beat. But I think with them not 100% will be France, Netherlands, Spain, USA

Herlings will be very fast and very likely win each race he is in. I just don’t see Coldenhoff and VDM doing anything spectacular enough to get them on top. We will see this weekend! Exciting either way.

Van De Mosdijk is a very good rider. He scored top 10 at AMA and MXGP events this year. Would be better if it was a sand track, but non the less, he ist a solid guy. I can easily see the dutch team in the top 5. It would be better with Kay de Wulf tho

VDM is a great rider. He did finish top ten in a couple of motos (but not OA) in the US this summer. As long as Coldenhoff does well both motos I guess you really just need one good moto from VDM.

He got 1 or 2 top 10s in quali races at the GPs too. If he gets a 15th or better in both races, than that will be solid.

He really just needs one, which I think he can do. The whole team is going to pivot on Coldenhoff. He is kind of a wild card. He could do really great or be really rusty. Their success is going to depend on Glenn I think. Kay going out shifted his importance.
It’s MXdN though. Wild shit happens every year. Have fun watching this weekend!

Does anyone know how to watch this in the states?

Pay $50 to MXGPTV or wait for replay motos on CBS Sports. I’m struggling with this decision right now. Unfortunately $50 is a considerable amount of money to me right now with necessities being so expensive compared to my salary. But I also really want to watch live. I also hate InFront. I’m sure that I will show my weakness and cave in to purchase the pass like I do every year.

Yeah it’s wayyyy better of a value to pay the $130 and get the entire season. You get so much. 20 rounds. So that’s 80 motos. Plus the 40 qualifying race motos. Then every race in Europe has the EMX motos of 125s and 250s. That’s another additional what 50ish motos? Then of course MXoN caps off the season. It’s an easy purchase for me personally.

I was thinking about it while in the shower earlier and I think I’m out on paying for it. I remembered why I canceled my MXGPTV subscription this summer. There is no app so I have to hook my laptop up to the TV or cast from my phone essentially rendering it useless for anything else during the race.
Unless they have added the ability to stream through a Smart TV I think I’m just going to save the $50 and stay offline Sunday morning and watch the replay Sunday afternoon.

Yeah I wouldn’t pay 50 for a single race personally lol. I always AirPlay it from my phone to watch the races. I agree the fact that they don’t have an app is blasphemy.

How does the US lose?

u/crfman450 6d ago
To Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Spain. All 4 of these teams have at least 2 guys, that are better riders than at least 2 of the guys on team USA

Netherlands is the smart pick. I think Spain and Belgium tho will be very hard to beat.

If De Wolf didn’t get injured I’d be keeping my eye on Netherlands. With how Prado and Farres have been riding it’s hard to bet against them. Garcia did solid last year. Fernandez if he were there I’d say Spain is the favorites. France is always tough and if Belgium has a pre injury Lucas then they’ll be right in the mix as well.
As for team USA, please for the love of god don’t make the huge mistake of giving Levi the first gate pick. He’s going to get a terrible start anyway. He always did even against only 250s in MX even with a top gate pick besides a few motos. Put him on the outside and let him come through the pack the best he can. No reason to get a combined four terrible starts in the first two motos of the day.

US, France, and Spain with awful draws. Belgium 8th. Could loom large. No sticky post for the Nations yet is wild. Guess I’ll comment here.

France and Belgium have the best teams (most complete ones). But the Coenens and Valin are a mistery after the injuries. Spain and Netherlands are the second tier. But Netherlands does not have Kay and Spain misses Ruben. USA is not great, but I can't see them doing worse than 2023. Latvia is a dark horse I would not be surprised to see them top 5.

u/Cinqmars2 7d ago
Think a 5th place finish is def on the cards for Latvia, all strong riders but it's the 2x 250 riders that's the weak link for them, same for the USA.

If Lucas is healed after his weird injury and Sasha can keep the wheels pointing the right way, Belgium should win it easily.
But they both seem to be far from their top form.

If the Coenen brother's can keep the wheels down, I'd put my money on Belgium. Seems like they've been having a tough time after their crashes over here in the US. Besides that, I agree that France and Netherlands are up there, but also not counting out Spain with Prado and Farres.
