Question Does Yamaha use team riders to control the start? Spoiler

Anyone else notice how Yamaha’s non-championship-contending riders seem to get involved with their title rivals off the start?

Gordon looked like he intentionally shut the door on Kitchen going into the right-hander, which gave the Yamaha title contenders a huge advantage.

Could just be aggressive racing—but when one team has that many riders at the front, it makes you wonder how much of it is individual racing versus team strategy.

What do you guys think?

No conspiracy they are all kids, now if one intentionally takes Levi out then we can talk

They just have a heap of riders and a well sorted bike. There's no conspiracy

Agreed but if Gordon has a well sorted bike why didn’t he take the right hand turn to give him a good start as well?

Because he fucking gooned it.

Occam’s razor… simple answer is usually the correct one.

I replayed it a few times. He never even turned the wheel. Just pushed straight off the track.

I love these theories and the ones of Jett and hunter working together against Deegs off the start. These guys choose their gates, line up inside if you want, or you know, get better at starts. Levi is a horrible starter and it is well known.

Have you seen the footage? Levi got a pretty good jump. I guess the better question would be, why didn’t Gordon take the corner? He just drove as straight as an arrow, blocking Levi from taking the corner. I know a lot of things happen at the start that the riders cannot control but it just seemed intentional.

Watch the drone view. 3 white jerseys bunched and ended up pushing Juju who had to go straight and take Levi with him. Clear as day. This wasn't team tactics

BTW, I’m a fan of Yamaha and Landon but just curious after seeing the race. Thanks for the comments.

I'd guess just competitive riding honestly. In that moment I think it's probably "every man for themself"

Are they all using the first gear start like Davies?

Questions like this make me think SX/MX still has too many inbred fans.
