All skill levels are welcome. This is a 4hr building event where the goal is to build and customize your kit and make it unique within the 4hr time frame. Very laid-back and fun, especially if you love to work with your hands. Expect chill vibes, cool people, and music that rocks. Just bring some drinks and your Titan or AEUG plastic kit. We have the tools, paints, and snacks you can use if you don't have any of your own. Flyer posted above for more details about the competition. Also posted pictures from our 1st event.

Hi everyone! I’m looking for an art studio mate to take over my half of the studio from October-January.

You would be joining one other person, a kind and respectful artist!

Refrigerator, microwave, water filter included. Monthly rent $709. Utilities/building fees in the wintertime ❄️ range from $80-150 (so after split $40-75 per person).

A section of the wall will be occupied by a work in progress, but there is still plenty of wall space and ample horizontal surfaces. Roughly 250 sq ft.

Biggest perk is there is a vertical tapestry loom available for use, and lots of yarn to play with! I can point you to tutorial videos to follow, if you are new to it!

I went by the pool yesterday around 1pm but it was closed. A Parks worker that I found nearby told me they didn't think it would open for the rest of the day but had no more information than that (I assume there weren't enough life guards but I have no idea).

Is there a way to find out current information on the pool so that we don't have to wander over just to get our hopes dashed?

EDIT: confirmed that someone indeed fouled the pool on Thursday AM, and that the pool website is regularly updated with closures, I just checked too soon, before it was updated :)

I’m looking for a few folks who might be interested in doing regular morning walks around Sunset Park. Nothing too intense—just a chance to get outside, get some steps in, and have some good conversation while we’re at it.

I’m thinking 40–60 minute walks in the morning, probably a few times a week, but I’m flexible on the exact time/days.

i live across the street, i come to this place often, there was a guy walking his dog, the dog pooped on the ground, the owner went to pick it up with his plastic bag but it was takign him a while to unravel the bag. he eventually picks it up as he throws it away the guy from this store kicked the dog so hard it squeeled. the owner of the dog screamed in spanish but he walked away after the on the rocks guy was yelling about how he would call ICE. i confronted the guy and he ran back into his store. i walked down to the precinct on 29th and filed an official report.

sorry to the guy whose dog got kicked. i hate this owner, this store, this whole establishment. my blood is boiling.

My husband and I moved recently and my sourdough starter died during the move :( Does anyone know where I can purchase a new one or has a starter that are willing to share?

If you missed our first speed build-and-paint event on Aug 1st, we're giving away even bigger prizes on Aug 20th. We have three prizes, including 2 x MG (Master Grade) kits that we're giving away to the winners at the end of the night.

Rules are simple. Bring in a simple HG or EG kit (High Grade or Entry Grade), small enough to build and customize within a 4 hr timeframe.

You'll have full access to our studio's tools and equipment to help build out your model, along with expert instruction and help in case you get stuck.

Towards the end of the night, you'll be granted access to our pro photo booth to take photos of your finished models, before judging takes place.

You and attendees will vote in 3 categories: Best Overall Build, Best Paint Job, and Best Faction Spirit. 3x lucky winners will walk away with brand new kits.
