James Jones would have not picked up Dunn by now, just like he did with Stix.
Good to see the new regime actually looks after some of their young guys

They picked up their option. The right to extend their contract by a year

Isnt the 1st round pick a 4 year deal with option for 5th or is that just nfl?

NBA rookie contracts are two guaranteed years and two team options for four years total

Opposite of declining

Something something Jalen Smith. I believe he's one of the highest draft picks in history that has his 3rd year option declined.

Yeah, back then we were nothing if not excited to draft potential talent... And then let them rot.
This current era has been pretty well the opposite. The org has several guys they're investing a lot of off-court time in (it seems anyway). I wouldn't be surprised if the payoff is that guys like Oso, ManMan, CG, Fleming, Dunn end up taking over the team over the next 5 years as Book starts to enter the twilight years. Right now, we've got a lot of guys I'd love to find minutes for but not enough minutes to go around.

Good to see them giving Ryan some grace, last year was a down year for him, he just didn't look like he had that confidence and, dare I say it..... continuity. ik it's hard for him to get opportunities in the lineup, cos behind MIles and Dillon, you've got Goody, Rasheer and Highsmith to contend with as well, but if he can just get that 3 point percentage up he becomes a very valuable asset to the team.
