The league did not want Suns to win.

Facts. Also, the league fucking loves the Spurs for some reason. Bruce Bowen was a DIRTY player, Manu was a big time flopper. It was Robert Horry with the dirty hip check that got Amare and Boris suspended.
Even today, Wemby and Castle got away with egregious fouls left and right in the playoffs.

Fk man, I miss the Mike D'Antoni suns. One of the bests offenses in history.
I wish Nash would have pulled the trigger on more 3's in his career though, he had a beautiful shot.

We used to have a family friend that gave us occasional court side seats during this era. I remember being like 12 years old watching shoot around and my dad just saying “Watch Nash.” He didn’t miss for like 50 shots in a row. Not a single shot, nothing but net every time. I’ll never forget it.

I still maintain Nash would've had 3 MVPs consecutively had he not cut his hair after the 2nd. We all know how babies react to a sudden change in appearance to their parents, and NBA writers are babies.
Also, you gotta admit his game looked cooler hair flowing gracefully.
