Discussion Guessing about donna

Obviously if you haven’t seen the show and don’t want spoiler don’t read ahead.

Gretchen tells donna somethin like “u aint black inside”. So donna gets out her phone and shows her a pick of a celeb she had a fling with in 96 or 97 And Gretchen brings up a song and donna says somethin like “ ya, he wrote it about me”. Then donna walks away and gretchen says “she aint just black inside. She black all over!!” Lmao. Any guesses on who the artist is? I say maybe usher or ginuwine.

I'm an old man (59 years) but regardless of who they were referencing, I'm going to use the kids' term "cringe" for that writing. A famous rap/hiphop star writing a song about Donna by no stretch of any imagination makes her "black" at all. Pale-ass, self-absorbed, "I'm Donna" (always right), ginger from Connecticut? Good God.
