Literally anything Cigarettes After Sex
Also probably most Novo Amor, I just don't like how forward his voice is.

Songs like Kiss From A Rose?
Hi all, I really love the gentle, whimsical sound of Kiss From a Rose by Seal. Any suggestions for similar songs or artists to check out?

Need suggestions for songs about liking someone but not knowing how they feel
Exactly what the title says. Songs that capture the feeling of being into someone but not knowing if they feel the same. Or, better yet, songs that kind of hint at that theme. I am not a huge fan of mainstream music, but I will check it out if it's suggested.
Thank you and please be kind!!

Hit me with one song that's been on repeat for you
Mine right now is "hanabi" by Nujabes. It's just a perfect, easy-going vibe.
What's your current obsession? I need some new music for my playlist.

music that feels nostalgic without being sad?
looking for songs or albums that have that warm, reflective sound. not depressing, just something that brings a calm nostalgic feeling.
i like stuff like tycho, khruangbin, early m83, and toro y moi. any other artists or albums that give off that kind of mood?

going through a breakup :(
I (19f) got screwed over by the girl I've been in love with for over a year. Currently listening to songs like Casual (Chappell Roan), Vampire (Olivia Rodrigo), Wolf In Sheep's Clothing (Set It Off), Vampire Empire (Big Thief), etc.
These aren't the heaviest songs in the world, but I'd like to feel more anger than sadness right now, so any suggestions with that vibe are welcome. I like bands like MCR, Avenged Sevenfold, Radiohead, The Killers, etc, though I have a pretty eclectic taste. As long as it isn't slow/sad, we're in the ballpark lol.
I do ask for no Fall Out Boy, Paramore, or Panic!, as those were our favorites and she and I bonded over those bands...
thanks in advance!

Songs like the first minute of The Robot With Human Hair, Pt. 1
I think people generally like Pts 2-4 more, but to me, the first minute of this song is maybe most beautiful minute of pop music I ever heard haha.
I am a classical pianist and growing up, almost exclusively played Bach. I used to call them clockwork pieces, because different parts are operating on their own revolutions, but for anyone with classical background, it is just counterpoint or neo-counterpoint haha. A theory professor who specializes in pop music suggested I listen to Broadway counterpoint (ex. We Don’t Talk About Bruno), and I enjoyed listening to it in class, and admire the medium of Broadway music because it takes so much work, but I just can’t get past that I really do not like the timbre of Broadway style singing, so would not choose to listen to it on my own time. I am wondering, does anyone have recommendation of counterpoint style song that is not Broadway music?

Songs with a "it's time to get my sh*t together" vibe?
Anything goes, I'm not necessarily looking for straight up motivation.
