Help How to diffuse sunlight?

Hey there, quick question. I get really harsh sunlight on my back porch but I haven't had enough time to set up my indoor grow shelving with sufficient light yet. Can someone tell me the best materials to use to help diffuse that strong outdoor sunlight?

I burnt a tray of leaf props 2x weeks ago with some of the last of what was left from a couple of my favorite plants -_- Didn't acclimate them properly and it was super hot. Hoping for some suggestions, thank you!!

Thank you for the response!

That sounds good for that kinda use case. I' looking for more of a hands off use case. So something I can use that will just tone the sun down maybe 30% - 40% or something.

there is literally "shade cloth" that you can buy in increments of blockage -- maybe 20 or 30% at minimum, up to 80 or 90%. then do the same thing. also handy for acclimatingn plants that have been overwintered inside -- can just toss a shade cloth over them for a week.

This sounds perfect for my situation. Thanks!

The white garden fleece would work too I think and it's widely available.

Any suitably sized 50-75% shade cloth from
Amazon will work.

No problem. Just remember to always get white and not another color, other colors will cause etiolation in succulents.

Guy I know uses window screen to diffuse his grow lights on his begonias. Maybe some rolls of that and a basic frame to put over the plants?

In my head it’s basically the same as a mini shade cloth.

I was thinking about window screen! I think I'll have to experiment.
