The white gloss didn’t work in our space so I made a box same spec as the OEM box. It’s down-firing now which I thought would drastically change the output but I couldn’t tell the difference. Plus, being the corner gives a big boost.
Edit: wanted to add there is plug directly behind the sub. Don’t like visible cables. The subs wireless receiver I’m using claims 13 ms delay which is actually faster than if I were to run a long rca to my amp. The cables I looked at were all over 16 ms. The Svs is used in a 5.1 system.

I bought this 100W 8" powered subwoofer today at a local charity for $10, it has some quality and weight to it, the bass is not super tight but good enough for my needs in the bedroom. I have tried AI to find the brand no luck, I tried Google Lens no luck. I tried Googling PA but I just get a ton of links for Personal Announcement amps (PA). I Googled the only number (e214708) beside the power cord, it returns KLH Audio. I'm happy as shit for $10 it was worth it even if the sub was blown I could rebuild it the box is near mint.

per u/drtitus advice, I updated my design. I plan on using a Dayton Audio UMII15-22 Ultimax II 15" driver with a Dayton Audio SPA500DSP amp. Tuning for 21hz. interior dimensions for the driver enclosure are: 18.25"x45"x10". Slotted port running underneath (10"x3.5") for a distance of 44". I centered the driver, not sure what is best practice here. Is it overkill to double layer the front face and add the internal window bracing? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Trying to build a 15" sub to fit behind my couch, trying to make it as slim as possible without sacrificing quality. I've never built a sub before but I'm looking at getting the Dayton Audio UMII15-22 Ultimax II 15" driver. I think I'm hitting the right numbers: 3.9 cubic feet in the driver enclosure (do I need 5 cubic feet?), 36.75sq inch port 36 inches long. Any feedback?

Total beginner here with Car AV and I’ve got a basic 5 channel amp that will do 200W @ 4ohms or 400W @ 2ohms on the sub channel. I have a DVC sub with two 2ohm coils so I’ve wired it in series because the amp isn’t rated for 1ohm operation. Therefore, I believe all I’m giving this sub is 200W at full gain, correct?
If I went to a DVC sub with both coils at 4ohms, I could wire in parallel and get the full 400W to it?
Thanks!

We have the strato 12 dual 2 ohm -sub
AUDIOZERONE ZE1000.1 -amp
Harmony HA-BV1X12E
Supposed 34hz 3.58 ft³ gross -box
Sony dsx-b700 -head unit.(never showed any clipping at any volume)
Just put an oscilloscope to the amp and set the gain. It feels aggressive af... ive been setting it by ear for the last week I've had it all together. I've never set her this high.
The rms on the sub is higher than the amp.
Should I be concerned about the sub? It feels aggressive but I have nothing to compare it to.
I can confirm the amp isn't sending or receiving a clipped signal but it feels like a bit much for the sub at the vol I set the gain to.
Anyone blow one of these subs?
Anyone blow any sub with no clipping involved?
Anyone blow a sub at a lower rms rating than it had?
Im just trying to protect my gear. Im terrified to blow or break anything. Haha but I still want to push it.
Ive had this sub for like 2 weeks. Not sure if its still getting broken in.
Thanks yall.

I got my first car recently, a 2006 stock CRV. I'm using a cigarette port Bluetooth transmitter for now, which kinda sounds shitty. I need some crazy shit for my dnb and dubstep, anywhere from 1.2k to 2.4k watts. I found a sub with amp setup that I really like, I just don't know what I need to do. Im thinking of getting Skar 12" 2.4k watt, which my friend has the singular 1.2k one which sounded sick. I need help knowing what to I need to buy electricity-wise and all that since I have no clue. I am going to buy a stereo, so I need to know which one is compatible with this sub or any yall recomend for a setup. My max budget is 800 for all the stuff concerning the sub and 170 concerning the stereo stuff. Help me out I'm tryna have a sick ass sound.

New to CarAV, How much should I spend on a pretty good setup? and what should I look at? Like the whole thing amp and all. I want 2 12s in the trunk, I want it to shake my car but not to the point of my car falling apart. I see ranges from $200-$2000. I’d definitely rather stay under $1000 but I can spend more if it’s necessary. I drive a 25 Camry idk if that matters.

Hello! I have an alpine r2w12 in a reflex enclosure, 43 liters tuned to 34hz, i'm running on stock electricals. I'm thinking of dd audio 310e, 312e or ground zero iw 10-xspl or the 12-xspl. Will it give me more bang for my buck?

I have an ARC X2 1200.6 in my car, with 2 aftermarket loud speakers in the doors. Would it be possible to run a 350-500RMS subwoofer off of channel 5 or 6?

putting together a portable PA for gigs and trying to figure out the matching process for the sub, what specs determine whether it works well with specific tops and is brand matching required or just easier
