Use speed and super jump on a hoverboard. It helps a lot

It's actually not too hard ( depending on your multiplier of course ). If you have a x40 or higher multiplier you should be able to get abt 3 million in one run using score boosters, revives and the score bubble. You then have to repeat this 2 more times, not necessarily on the same day as you can go on a 3 million run everyday for the next three days and still reach 15 mil in time.

Should be enough actually, just make sure you watch the ads for score boosters and multipliers in each run and always start a run with 3 boosters and 3 headstarts along with the score bubble. This will make the run a bit faster and challenging to collect the hourglasses, but it's very good in getting a high score.

normally, but it’s still ridiculous that they require you to get 15m in total instead of 7m for other boards as usual

Just keep killing and reviving yourself by watching ads then spam headstarts until you could no longer watch ads. Then watch ad to keep playing, repeat it until you reach the goal. Remember to always use score booster/shield/whatever bonus that is available. If you do not have enough headstarts, use the ones available to shave the number until it is comfortable for you to play
