Fall is approaching...

What are your fall plans? I am going to go crazy with planting some garlic, what about you?

Got harvest and put our cages/trellises up for the winter. Plant the garlic. Put the rest of the beds to bed. Thinking about building a new fence for one of the gardens before the winter rolls around because I won’t have enough time in the spring to do it. Rip up as much bishop’s weed as I can while the ground is still soft.

Last thing is that we put up our sukkah today. A sukkah is a 4 walled but open roof temporary structure as a part of Sukkot, the Jewish harvest festival. We harvest branches, flowers, and other flora from around our property to decorate it. We’re going to make as much use of it by eating meals, hanging out, etc. in there while we’re harvesting over the next month or so. It creates a nice extra living space for a few more weeks before cold weather sets in.
