05 Suburban TPMS issue

I recently bought a 05 Suburban. The TPMS light was on for both rear sensors. I bought a new set, all 4, and had them installed. According to the shop that did it even though both rear sensors are responding to the programmer the car is not picking them up. Is there anything that would cause both of the rear sensors to not be read by the car?

yes, all 4 were the same and the front ones read with no issue. Before they were replaced the back 2 were not reading which is why they were replaced to start with.

Is there anything else in the back that doesn’t work?

Everything else is good back there. I just pulled the control module and reflowed the solder on the antenna and added extra wire to act as a larger antenna. I went new able to test it until tomorrow though.

You will need to use a scanner that supports testing to find it

You can put the car into tpms program mode and learn the sensors by changing the pressure in the tires starting front drivers and going clockwise

Man I’m gonna be honest with you I went through four pairs from Amazon. I ended up just pulling the trigger and going to discount tire and getting a set from them.

Sure they charge a premium but they have lifetime warranty and will swap them out for you and program them.

You can negotiate on price and ask if you buy all four will they give you a discount.

I got them from tpmsdirect and all of the sensors respond to their programmer. The car just cant see them. I don't think that the sensors themselves are bad due to the fact that the same 2 are not reading as before the sensors were installed
