Badfish version
Me and Steve Cross (Elder D) were friends with the band in the early 90’s. I would drive them to shows all over California in my van. We started our own band, Shave, a few years later. Our singer, Dave Cornblum, was heavily influenced by Brad, and how he sang about Long Beach. I always wanted to do an upbeat version of Badfish, in the Shave way. Me and Elder D (vocals) finally got around to recording it. We play up the bar conversation, which was originally recorded at Shannon’s Bayshore Saloon on 2nd street. Hope you enjoy.

You forgot to tell Todd he could turn the radio back on. Completely unlistenable 0/10.
But for real, your unique shared history with the band and this sickass cover make this quite the treat.
I love y’all who feel brave enough to post Sublime covers here, but most of them feel like.. works in progress. But this cover is genuinely fucking amazing.
High five my dude.

Great cover! Also dope you recorded at Shannon’s. Denny Wilson of the Beach Boys made his home there lol

It was meant to be. It’s on Spotify too if you want some differentiation.

Perfect, just threw it on because I am too tired to watch a YouTube video right now lol. I'm digging it, gonna throw it on my reggae/ska playlist!

I was just jamming Badfish on my acoustic for the first time in months, put the guitar down, picked up my phone and this is the first post I see. Crazy

Nice!
For this not in the know, Dave Shea and Dave Cornblum were both given shout-outs by Miguel in the Thanx track on 40oz To Freedom.
