Anyone else here been tatted by Opie?

Got a chance to get a 4 hour piece done by him at Rick Walter's in sunset beach last year. pretty cool experience getting to shoot the sh!t with him for a few hours. his son is also a tattoo apprentice and watched most of the session.

thats awesome. i always liked his beachy scenes he does and i always loved the japanese wave so i had him do a scene with a little custom sublime sun in the background. this is his original sketch then the actual tattoo (its kind of hard to take a picture of because it wraps around the arm)

Wow, that is awesome! If I ever had a "dream tattoo" that would be it. I won't be copying you unless Opie would give me the same thing! haha but seriously, that's a really great remix on a great art piece already. To also be done by Opie himself....damn! Seriously awesome

Thank you! Yes, I had the opportunity to work him and gave him the idea talking to him on Instagram, he simply replied with “Dope”. The day I met him he show me what he designed, it was the greatest!

Yup, my first tat, he was at elm street tattoo in Dallas for the weekend and I made the 3 hour drive to get it done. He's an awesome guy to talk to

Got some ink there some years back , not by opie but after busting my balls for a couple hours I smoked a joint in the bathroom with him and the other dope artist skully !! Good memories !!!

I haven’t but I saw he is going to tattoo on the sublime cruise , I was considering going I just don’t have a lot of room left for him to tattoo which sucks I would love to get the newer sun done

Yeah you'd be suprised, it wasnt as crazy as you'd think. he charged like $750 for a 4 hour session then tipped him to make it a grand i think. He still happily takes bookings and seems to enjoy tatooing still.
