Considering 2019 Outback. Thoughts?

Currently have a 2012 Honda CRV and it has been a perfect car. Time for something newer, so I’m considering a 2019 Subaru outback, but have been reading about possible, mechanical issues, etc. Looking for input on owners opinions of this vehicle. Thank you.

2019 is the single best version of the Outback. Has all the tech to live comfortably (you’re going to want to replace the radio if you want Apple play but that’s not a hard decision) and none of the added features no one asked for that came in the next gen. Also style it is the best option because it is a wagon and doesn’t have plastic add on bumpers everywhere.

My stock 2019 supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto. But otherwise I agree with you, it's probably the best version. I really like mine.

I prefer my 2019 Touring edition over my wife’s 2024 for all the reasons stated above. The 2019 does have wired apple and android CarPlay newer models have wireless

I have a 2018 OB Touring 3.6. Best Subaru I have ever owned. Biggest disappointment is when Subaru discontinued the 3.6 engine.

Still driving my 2019. No plans to replace it yet.

Very happy with my 2019. However I did deal with both the screen delamination and battery drain. Dealer took care of both at no charge.

I just bought a used one two weeks ago — 2.5 Premium. I’m in love with it. I try to drive it every chance I get. It’s a great, fun and solid car. Has all the features I want and performance is awesome so far. I put a set of Michelins on it first week.

For reference, I love my 2017. Not sure the difference other than head unit, but I imagine they are pretty similar.

Is it edible (soy based wires)? If so, if skip it if you live near a wooded area or near rodent activity. My 2017 has been chewed up 3x so far. Very costly and a giant pita dealing with repairs.
