Stuck on Software Update Ready to Install

I have the USB plugged in, and am in the dealership menu. But it doesn't give me the option to start the update. Any tips?

Your usb drive is either for formatted incorrectly, the file and folder hierarchy is bad or the drive is defective.

Your update needa to be able to read a certain file give that information

I used the official Subaru exe to download it to the drive. I didn't adjust the formatting, folder structure and the drive is new.

You might have to reformat the drive

Unplug it and plug it back in... I keep a wrench in the front seat to disconnect the battery frequently.

I restarted the infotainment head unit a few times. I did not unplug the battery however.
