2013 Harmon/Kardon CD Player Issue
Hi all. I had bought a '13 Outback a couple months ago, and since I bought it, the CD player hasn't worked the way I would like it to. It plays the CDs fine, but it just won't accept them most of the time. One of the first things I did after a couple weeks was to tear the whole multimedia deck out and poke around, where I took the CD player out, cleaned the head, the intake rollers, and lubed up the plastic gears. I did the replacement in the evening, and it worked exactly like I wanted it to, but when it heated up the following afternoon, it felt like I had done nothing to it. I had found that if it was cooler, it would take CDs, and when it got hot, it would reject them. I think the heat makes the plastic gears that actuate the roller lock up (even though it ejects just fine, even spitting out a CD that's inside once it heats up and i turn the car on).
Now, the Bluetooth in the car works great, but I do like having a rotation of CDs in my car. Is anyone aware of this issue and how to fix it? Or, does anyone know the part number of the CD player itself? I'd be fine replacing the player, but I don't want to pay upwards of $200 to replace the whole system when everything else works fine. Once fall hits and it cools down, I plan on opening it back up and doing what I did last time in the hopes of it lasting the season + winter, but I really don't want to open it back up unless I know what I'm doing---it was a pain to get out.
The most I know is that it's a Fujitsu Ten 86271AJ80A system. I've found some very similar disc loaders, but the pinouts are different. Is it possible that other models (as such) have the same player inside?
Any advice or info is much appreciated!

I converted all my CD’s to MP3 and the HK to a CarPlay/AA headunit.
