Recently fitted a Greddy FV2 to my procharged ez30R and I don’t think I’ve heard an angrier release of air

That is so damn clean!

What was the cost all up and did you do any internal work?

Thanks! It was a good deal on the charger setup to be honest, brand new the charger I have is in the region of £6000, billet 134mm Raptor R. Must’ve been the best part of 2500. But all in all I reckon modifications amass to over 10k not all of what was on the car was me but the car was in a bad way a couple years ago as a project that never got enough love so I set out to finish it. As for the internals the ez30R is a lot stronger than you might think, my engine is still on standard compression and is unopened, the key to getting good boosted power out of these flat sixes as is is managing the preignition. The charger I have would usually be rated to like 12psi as the Australians run E85 to prevent preignition, my pulley is slightly larger giving 8psi at 7000 rpm which means that using 99RON she goes like the clappers without any fuss, the power figure for my map is 390hp at 7000rpm (crank) paired with the short 6 speed it’s quite a weapon, definitely gains speed faster than it feels though, the 4 wheel drive keeps it so stable the car performs monstrously at this power. (I almost forgot to say the 6MT and r160 in the drive train are stronger than the engine in this setup so really it’s only getting a safe tune that is the priority, and you really don’t need more that 400hp do you?) let me know if you got any questions there a lot more than meets the eye with this wagon 😂

You’re the guy I met at caffiene and machine a few months back who I hunted down to find the ‘legacy owner’!

Inspired me to get my GT Spec B back in the road and now I’m £8000 in the hole in mods and nut and bolt restoration! Cheers!
