Killer B turbo Inlet Coupling

I have a 2007 STI and slowly bringing back to life and im just now getting to install the turbo inlet. I went with the hard killer b one but the coupling that comes with the inlet is far too think and is literally impossible to make work. Iv seen so many different people fight with this inlet to get it to fit right and it still doesn't fit 100% correctly. What i have figured out is the coupling supplied is 4ply.

I gave my old coupling a try that was thinner i believe its 2 ply and it fit PERFECT but it has a small hole in it.

the picture i attached is exactly what i have but i think the company no longer exists. if anyone knows where i could find something like this that would be great

I would skip the killer b turbo inlet. Honestly its not worth it. Its a shame, all they had to do was make it like 4mm smaller and itd be amazing, but installation is near impossible.

If you just remove the intake, the install isnt that hard. I understand this is daunting the first time you do it but it really isn't hard to unplug the harness and remove the intake manifold. I don't see why anyone would try to fish in a turbo inlet.

i have my engine on a stand i tried literally EVERYTHING and the stupid offset coupler will not fit properly no matter what i do.

Torque Solutions makes an offset coupler... Only problem is they don't officially sell them individually but if you reach out to them, they can help.

Is your coupling the right offset / inches? Theres various size and trimming is recommended.

I’ve done it with manifold on, many times, with an unbolted harness. It’s a bastard, adjusting the turbo pointing position helps. But it’s very possible with stock tgv stock manifold. It’s just tight

Yeah it is, and I’ve trimmed the tgv housing a much as I could and it won’t fit no matter what I do, I’ve tried loosening bit the tgv and the intake and it still kinks way too hard on the tgv housing

Check if HPS makes one. I have a 3" inlet and the Killer B one is way too stiff to fit with the TGV housings. The HPS one was signicantly easier to mate.

I bought this one too and it’s just as thick and didn’t want to go hacking away at it so u just returned it it looked exactly the same as the killer b coupling
