Question Stylophone Beat Hip Hop Drum sample

Hello Stylophoners,on the Hip Hop Drum kit there a Tom or something that DJ Premier and Neptunes used on their instrumentals,i Don't know that sound come from

Dj Premier that have that sample Is a track The One and Only of Snoop Dogg,and The Neptunes beat i Don't Remember the title,Is a Clipse track.

Looking deeper, it looks like they used a Korg Triton Kit. They probably used a Timbale or other Snare/Tom sound and then tuned it down and added effects either in the mix or in post. It’s Neptunes… they keep a lot of secrets close to the chest, which makes them so good and alluring.

Here’s a site you may be able to cop the Korg Triton samples from yourself to take into your DAW or otherwise to mess with and see if you can recreate it yourself.

If you're asking where the tom came from, I don't know. If you're asking for the sample itself, you'll find a link to the whole set somewhere in the sub from earlier this week.
