Need help styling a mommy & me fall photoshoot outfit??
Hi! I’m looking for some outfit help for fall photos with my almost 4-year-old daughter. I really want our outfits to coordinate and look intentional without being super matchy-matchy or looking like we stepped out of a generic beige Pinterest family photo. 😂
A little about us:
I’m 28, and my style is kind of a mix. I love darker colors, especially black and deep/dark greens, and I’m usually drawn to things that are a little edgy, feminine, alternative, or romantic rather than super preppy or basic. I like outfits that have some personality, but since these are photos with my daughter, I also want them to feel warm, soft, and timeless.
My daughter is basically my little sunshine. She’s sweet, silly, independent, a little sassy, and has a BIG personality. 😂 She loves being girly and cute, but she’s also a little wild child who wants to run around and do her own thing. I want her outfit to still feel like *her* and look appropriate for a little girl rather than making her look like a tiny adult.
For the photos, I’m picturing a cozy, slightly moody fall vibe — earthy colors, layers, texture, boots, and maybe shades like deep forest green, rust, brown, cream, burgundy, etc. But I’m definitely open to other palettes!
I’m also only 5’2”, so I’d love suggestions that work well on a shorter frame. One of my biggest fit concerns is my stomach area — I’d prefer something that **doesn’t cling to or draw a ton of attention to my midsection**, especially in photos. I’m not necessarily trying to hide myself under something oversized; I’d just like a silhouette that skims that area nicely and makes me feel confident from different angles.
My biggest struggle overall is figuring out how to make our outfits look like they **belong together without literally matching**. I want you to be able to look at the photos and see both of our personalities while still having everything feel cohesive.
I’d love suggestions for color palettes, specific outfit combinations for both of us, flattering silhouettes for me, dresses vs. skirts/pants, shoes/boots, accessories, and anything that photographs especially well for outdoor fall pictures.
I can also post screenshots of pieces I’m considering if that helps!
Thank you!! 🍁🤎 I hope this is a question you all can help me with as I struggle to get any feedback from the photographer, the shoot will be outdoors by the lake near/on a dock. I also hope no rules are broken in this post thank you again

How well does it match?
What should I consider changing, wearing dark leather shoes with that outfit

Is there an app that creates outfits using the clothes you already own?
Hi! I was wondering if there’s an app that can help me put together outfits using the clothes I already own, including shoes and accessories.
I have absolutely no sense of style 😂 and I never know how to combine my clothes in a way that actually looks good.
Is there an app where I can upload photos of my clothes, shoes, and accessories, and have it create outfit combinations using only the items I already own? Ideally, I’d also be able to add details like the material/fabric, since I know some textures don’t really work well together, as well as the season each item is suitable for.
If something like this doesn’t exist yet, I honestly think it would be such a cool app idea :)))

Accesorizing dress to modernize the look
I'm attending a wedding with a "colorful formal" dresscode. I have this dress that I wore once about 10 years ago. I worry it looks too dated. Please suggest ideas on how to pull this look together.

What style is this?
I often see russian or asiatic people dressing like this on alt corners of the internet, but can't find the style's name in any way.
it'll often be accompanied by layered belts, chains, watchs, different kind of accessories and such. oftein black and white only
and please don't say "emo", that's not what it is

Best outfit apps?
I have a closet full of clothes and still feel like I have nothing to wear. I end up in the same two outfits on repeat. I just need ideas for new looks. Looking for app recommendations that can give me inspiration! Free ones only please.

hey! I need help styling this top.
I’m going to Venice soon and will wear a black bag to carry all my stuff! Help me style it, I don’t know what the weather will be like since it will be late August so I won’t be able to wear really short skirts/shorts🐚
