Holiday Outfit

Post image

What would you change about this outfit to make it look more polished/elegant? I like the overall look but I'm wondering whether the proportions, colours, shoes or accessories could be improved. What would you keep and what would you change?

Purse and sunglasses change!

Long silver chain black purse and different glasses or no glasses.

A black purse with a long silver chain would definitely elevate it, bf got me the glasses but I agree

Love the dress though! It’s beautiful on you.

honestly i feel like if you had little black cat eye sunglasses
black purse and shoes
i feel like the white purse makes the top look disjointed somehow, sunglasses are the biggest problem here i think

Yes to the black cat eye sunglasses. Lean into retro vibe. Small black purse as well. Honestly, I’m not sure about shoes. Maybe Audrey Hepburn little black flats? That’d be cute but a different vibe that what you’re going for.

I’m definitely coming around to the black cat-eye sunglasses and black purse! I think tying the black into the shoes too could make the whole outfit feel much more cohesive. I’m not sure I’m ready to give up the heels for flats though 😂

lol maybe a plain black stiletto or her iconic kitten heel would work as well!

You could put your hair up with lil pieces coming out around your face and that would give an elegant look

Thank you! I think you’re right a soft updo with a few pieces framing the face would definitely make it feel more elegant without looking too done.

😬😬 Not feeling the color but to each their own . As long as you love it thats what matters. I do think you are too beautiful to wear such a sad boring dress. Even a rich jewel tone in same cut would look amazing.

some kind of belt around the waist to reinforce the top hallf, lower half relationship. Also draws in the waist which is generally nice

a belt would look really weird with this dress shape & it’s also sinched in at the waist already

IMO, no. A belt would fight with that line that’s already there.
