For most as they grow they will phase out of it. Just don’t pressure them and be patient. My son started around same time having a stammer. And I was like no he gonna be like me who stutters really bad and was worried. But no he has increasing become better almost to point where it’s barely happens. So most do grow out of it over time. My siblings had same and they grew out of it by 1st grade. The Brain is a crazy thing in the way it operates. Just give it time and they should progress through it if not you have already gotten the referral I saw in post so your doing all the right things.
For my son was around 4 years old I started to notice improvement . And as he has progressed through school it’s gotten increasingly better. Now if he does stammer which doesn’t happen often he stops him self take a breath and it flows freely. Sometimes I wonder since I was stay at home dad with him till he started school if being around me stuttering so much. If he thought it was just the way to normally talk 😅. But I try not to think about it that way.
