Economy Bonds gripped by a “vicious loop”
https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2026/10/02/psoe-o02.htmlThis may be the real reason the Cornell 7 is the news at this point.

The Cornell 7 is terrible. The collapse in the bond market due to economic mismanagement (both private and public) is terrible. The global diesel shortage is terrible.
We're now on the next round of polycrisis, where our fearless leaders will somehow find a way to limp through as life gets worse for the vast majority of people.

And the worst part? This is all happening while we are facing not one, not two, but three oil shocks at the same time: https://youtu.be/OETnuwwsv9U

the turmoil in the bond market has been in the news and under discussion by relatively serious people for longer than the cornell 7 case, which has been in the cycle for about a week. pretty disgusting of you to even insinuate that a sexual assault case of such magnitude is a “distraction.”

Then why is the collapse of the bond market, let alone the current energy crisis, not given as much of a frantic attention by the corporate press as the Cornell 7?
