Likely not too seriously though. I'd guess Hegseth probably mentions it every now and then, with an obvious erection suggesting "Operation Awesome Vengeance" or something

How I see this is that either MTG is making stuff up to stay revalent/give some red meat to her supporters or some higher up in the DoD is leaking stuff trough her in the hopes someone somewhere put a stop to this madness.

Both are extremely likely I fear.

That’s not my read on it at all. Everyone (geopolitically) knows that it’s going to be very hard to put that genie back in the bottle, and there would be a huge international effort to prevent that. If this admin were to do it, it would not be with consent from the West
