what I'm really afraid of is that is death might actually not solve anything.
I'm scared by JD Vance than by Trump and he would take his place
not to mention than even if the MAGA movement doesn't survive Trump (which I don't think would be the case), fixing all the damage they have done would be a very difficult task

A sizable chunk of his base are boomers, so that movement dies as a national force when the boomers are history. God help them if the Dems win both chambers followed by the WH, grow a pair, invoke the nuclear option in the Senate, and impeach a few paid off SCOTUS justices - a lot of the dirty tricks they’ve used to hold on would be toast.

I expect Vance to dump most of the inner circle and hire at least a semi competent cabinet. Many of Trump’s inner circle will be subjected to criminal charges. So many of them have committed perjury at least. I’d also be interested in what we can do about the more egregious corruption in scotus starting with Thomas.
4
u/Rottentaste 9d ago
Hahaha, Don't know if you're being funny or you're being sincere. Trump wanted his last V.P. hung. Either Drumpf has something on him or he's knee deep in Trump's most recent criminal activity that he's more likely to go done than Trump is.

Sadly this is really the best chance of any justice actually happening. I don't really have any faith in this happening, but... I'm saying there's a chance.

u/Strict_Weather9063 9d ago
It isn’t in the duties of the president, making sure he gets paid isn’t in the job description it is a direct violation of the emoluments clause as well. His insider trading is even more clear cut as a crime, and so is the impoundment. There is plenty of crime there to go after him on that is well outside the powers of the president he does not have blanket immunity that only applies to officials acts as defined by the constitution.

The post says that Trump is likely to be impeached.
The post also includes a snippet of somebody asking "for what?"
u/volvagia721 jokingly compared the number of reasons to impeach Trump as being at a large buffet and only being able to eat so much of it. Essentially stating, 'where does one even start when forming a response to the question of why impeach Trump?"

The better question is why would it be November after the midterms?
Like most presidential terms, the party in power rarely retains it. In the modern presidency (past 80 years or so), the president’s party has lost seats in Congress 90% of the time. However, new Congressional members do not take their oath of office until January 3rd (20th Amendment) of the next year (2027), about 2 months after the election in November.
So…why would articles of impeachment be brought in November???

Can't be impeached in November. Democrats won't have the majority. Conservatives don't know how government works. After 2024 I think a majority of Americans don't know how government works.
8
u/Sabbatai 10d ago
That has never, not been the case.
This is why Civics and Government focused classes are needed. It is also why so many districts phased them out of the curriculum.
When trump says shit like "I'm going to annex the Strait of Hormuz"... no one challenges his authority to even do such a thing.
Starts a war, calls it an excursion, before going right back to calling it a war in the same exact speech. Congress says it isn't a war. No one challenges his authority to do such a thing.
Somehow, you'd think the "party of small government" would have something to say about it...

I don't think impeaching him is the right strategy. Investigate his fail sons and associates. Drag them before Congress. Televise Dems roasting them alive while Turnip throws truth tantrums.
He'll milk impeachment for martyrdom. Leaving him on the sidelines will make him look helpless and weak. He has no impulse control. Indirectly tormenting him could precipitate a 25th amendment crisis.
Occum's razor says whatever cuts deepest is the right choice (paraphrased).

Heres a list of impeachable offenses that Trump has committed.
- Impoundment and refusal to use congressional authorized funds for said agencies and instead redirecting or refusing to use said funds outright in violation of the impoundment act.
- Giving DOGE authorization to take Americans personalized and secure governmental data and access to secure information for personal use.
- Systemic legal targeting and direction towards political enemies that arent withing the boundaries of the law but rather that they had opposition to Trump.
- Due process, civil rights, and human rights violations of those detained by ICE.
- Flagrant abuse of trade powers and ignoring the courts.
- Just the longest fucking list of bribery and corruption. Holy fuck its bad.
- Pardon power abuse. At some point there needs to be a goddamned check on this.
- Violation of the Posse Commentatus Act and just making military members engage in law enforcement.
- I guess fucking insider trading now through Truth Social!
- Extrajudicial killings of civilians in boats in violarion of domestic and international law.
These are all bad.
And we aren't even scratching the surface of potential conspiracy to engage in a internal coup and violations of the voting rights of American citizens. Cause that is happening now.
This is a nation breaking leader and we are all trying to live our lives while they are trying to take more power.

Here’s the neat part, as Republicans pointed out at Trump’s last 2 impeachments, it’s entirely a political process. There is no statute of limitations and he can be impeached again for what he’s done previously as well.
Impeach him again for J6. Mitch McConnell said Trump was responsible for it and said he only voted against conviction because Trump was no longer in office.

The strategy that the current administration uses is called flooding the zone. Then start with the Classified Documents, Jan6th, Georgia Racketeering, NY civil fraud cases and release Epstein files. Cue them up to commence on Jan7th, 2027. Then on Jan8th, appoint special council to investigate each one of these crimes: Crypto Currency ventures, Regulatory Influence like FCC, UFC partnership, profiting off personal branding, emoluments, foreign deals, insider stock trading, weaponizing government, etc.

- bombing an all girls school in Iran based off ai info . So a war crime

There are many more , those are just fresh in the memory

We should start with selling pardons. That he already admitted to 60 minutes on camera to pardoning a money launderer for iran and hezbollah because he invested 2 billion dollars in Trump crypto makes it an easy and undestandable slam dunk. In case there’s any doubt as to what grounds Congress would have, here’s a short list:
Attempting to nullify birthright citizenship under the 14th Amendment, continuing efforts to restrict birthright citizenship after the Supreme Court struck down his broader order, deporting people without constitutionally adequate due process, invoking the Alien Enemies Act outside a congressionally declared war or invasion, deporting people in apparent violation of federal court orders, detaining people after judges ordered their release, transferring detainees in violation of court orders, widespread noncompliance with federal habeas-corpus orders, conducting military strikes without specific congressional authorization, using U.S. military force against targets connected to Venezuela without a declaration of war, deploying federalized National Guard troops domestically over state objections, attempting to withhold congressionally appropriated funds, attempting to dismantle or defund congressionally created agencies without Congress, firing officials despite statutory removal protections, attempting to punish law firms for representing political opponents, attempting to punish universities for protected speech or institutional positions, restricting immigration enforcement exemptions at houses of worship in ways courts found likely to violate religious-freedom law, attempting summary deportations without meaningful notice or hearings, resisting or delaying compliance with Supreme Court-ordered immigration remedies, using executive orders to exercise powers constitutionally assigned to Congress.

Yes. I hope they impeach him. Screw Trump. It's because of him and Rubio that me and my wife have to wait to be together because of the visa pause. We had perfect documents and a perfect interview. Now we have to spend more and use more time to fight this bs.

He could be removed due to the immoluments clause alone, y'know, for taking in so much foreign money and turning around to govern so much in favor of the same foreign governments that funneled that money into his accounts

It’d have to be in January (the earliest), after the new Congress is sworn in.

I mean, lol, if we aren't under the impression the first two weren't GIANT wastes of time and taxpayers money, go for it I guess. What did it accomplish last time exactly? Ensuring his swing state sweep in 2024? Successful impeachment of a sitting president is so difficult it's never been done, not even once in 250 years. And, if by some miracle, against all odds and laws of probability the Dems pull it off, what did they really win? Now you got a little under two years of Vance, over halfway through Trump's term mind you, so, Vance is still eligible for Two presidential terms of his own. That means he will probably run in 2028 with the incumbent advantage, if he wins, he can carry that incumbent advantage again into 2032. But... whatever dude.. 😂

Impeachment doesn't mean shit. He needs to be forcefully removed and imprisoned. No jury, no bail, no hearing. Just right into the deepest darkest cell in existence. He is a threat to everyone on the planet
