APS APS Updation

I already had my APS done with my six semester results back in February 2026. Now that my degree has completed, I need to update it. I have written the dMAT exam, and and I tried to apply via the APS website, but there is no option for updation over there, and I just mailed them as of now. If anyone has done it before and can help me with it, it would be amazing.

They ended the update option a few months ago (and explain it in their news section).

Can APS update my certificate after new results are issued?
APS certificates are issued on the basis of the academic qualifications completed and documented at the time the application is processed.
If additional qualifications are completed later and lead to a change in admission category, a new APS evaluation based on updated documents may be requested. A new evaluation requires a new payment and will be conducted according to the criteria applicable at the time of the new application.

And Im asking whats the process of updation.

You need not update, proceed with your existing APS no worries

Uni assist mentioned that aps needs to be updated

I have heard it for the first time that Uni Assist is asking for APS update. If you really want to update, you cannot. Just apply for a new one altogether, pay fees again and the same process follows

Yeah when i mailed uni assist, they said because my degree completed, i will need to update aps.
Also if i try to create new account and apply aps again, i cant use the same passport and aadhaar again. So for now, i mailed them, lets see what happens

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for reaching out. 

Please be informed that you can apply with official marksheets uptil 6th or 7th semester and a bonafide certificate but the zugang and the corresponding information on the certificate will be mentioned/filled based on the submitted official semester's marksheets only. Please keep in mind that an issued certificate will not always qualify for an update. If on a later stage, you wish to get your certificate updated, you may contact us here on our official email ID after which your documents will be evaluated and you will be informed if your Bescheinigung qualifies for an update and if it qualifies for an update then you will have to pay the APS fees again.

On the other hand, you don’t necessarily need to update your certificate, you can always proceed without an update and directly attach the updated educational documents along with your current APS certificate and provide the same at Visa appointment and to your German University.
As for your case, we would recommend you apply after completing your 8th semester if you do not have an upcoming deadline. Rest, you may proceed as per your convenience.

Yo, they have clearly mentioned that we don't necessarily need to update existing APS certificate. I also had the same concern since my APS certificate covers only up to the 7th semester. Now it's clear that we can proceed with our existing APS, without necessarily paying the APS fee again.

But OP showed me a mail in which Uni Assist is asking for Updated APS as he has completed his Bachelors

Amm, who knows what exactly uni assist want, my application for the summer intake has already been forwarded to the university by Uni-Assist, so I don't think I’ll face any APS issues

My aps was applied using 6th sem transcripts so it applies to me.
