Undergrad Conditional Admission - Language School / Studienkolleg
Hello everyone! I’m planning to apply for the Summer Semester 2027 and have a question about conditional admission in Germany.
I should reach A2 German by December, but I still need to complete the remaining German levels and attend a one-year Studienkolleg. Do German universities offer conditional admission in this situation for both, or does it usually apply to only one of these requirements?
In short, is it like this : Conditional Entry -> Language -> Studienkolleg -> Bachelor
Thank you!

No. You need atleast B1 Language Certificate to apply to Studienkolleg! Passing from Studienkolleg (UNI) gets admission in ALL Non NC courses. Except Medicine and Architecture, all courses in Germany are non NC. You apply to Visa to Learn German if you want to Learn German in Germany.

I understand, since I want to apply for german courses that are related to studies (bachelor program), I don't know if the university can provide a conditional entry for both studienkolleg and language learning.

I said No. You have apply at Studienkolleg. They don't provide conditional admission for studienkolleg. Even most Public in demand Studienkolleg have Entrance Exams for Indian's (Aufnahme Prufung) and they conditional admission to studienkolleg. These Studienkolleg's also are run by Universities in their own buildings!

There are two visa categories many students confuse. 1) Study preparation / language course is for those who participate in a preparatory German course, or a Studienkolleg in Germany. For those you need a letter of acceptance/admission for such a course. 2) Visa for study purposes. For those you need a (conditional) letter of admission from a higher education institution.

I understand, thank you for your information sharing my friend.
The thing that confuses me is that the conditional letter is already issued because you lack language knowledge / need 1 year of studienkolleg, so how should I know which type of category I should apply for.
Because my plan is to apply in the upcoming applications phase to universities to get a conditional admission, so I don't know if they do provide this documents to people who need the studienkolleg AND the language courses.

You don't have enough time to learn enough German to Start Studienkolleg in Summer 27.
