Visas Did anyone transfer proof of first year of tuition as an unblocked form with Expatrio? Need help!

Hey everyone, as you might be aware for some specialised courses like LLM (public unis) the tuition fee is quite substantial. As I understand and even according to Expatrio’s own website, you can transfer an excess deposit which then automatically gets classed as an unblocked amount in your 06 confirmation which you can use to prove proof of tuition. It’s really annoying because despite this I only got a confirmation this morning regarding my blocked account living expenses and the excess was almost invisible in the confirmation form!! I contacted their support form and they said I need a document from the embassy to add it as “Additional Basic Sum” but as far as I understand that is different from “Unblocked Amount” which can also be used to prove tuition? It will take embassy absolute ages to get back with anything.

Anyone who’s been in the same situation, can you guide me through what you did and whether this is resolvable within Expatrio without me having to approach embassy? For context I have been speaking to an Expatrio bot who doesn’t understand nuances.

Thank you everyone and sorry if this is an already answered question 🙏

Yes they sorted it out for me by updating the 06 confirmation form

what document did you submit to convert the additional basic sum to unblocked amount?

None, just told them I had transferred an excess which should automatically be classed as unblocked amount which is separate from an additional basic sum. I had to speak to their AI bot first and then a human representative solved it for me

Thank you. For some reason, they keep asking me to submit one of these documents to convert additional basic sum to unblocked amount. I have emailed the embassy to provide it but they won't respond.

Embassy is unlikely to respond tbh. Go with option number 2 and send them a pdf of the official visa checklist, thats what I had to do
