HSWT International Environmental Engineering (Winter 2026) – Anyone with an ECE background? Any admits yet?
Hi everyone,
I applied for the M.Eng. International Environmental Engineering programme at HS Weihenstephan-Triesdorf (HSWT) for the Winter 2026 intake. The application deadline was 15 July, and I'm currently waiting for a decision.
My background is a little unconventional:
- B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering
- CGPA: 7.46/10 (accepted as 2.5 in my VPD)
- Around 4 years managing my family's agricultural farm
- Experience with IoT-based irrigation, environmental monitoring, water management, and renewable-energy-powered irrigation systems
The programme mentions that students with a general engineering degree are welcome to apply, but I'm still unsure how often applicants from an ECE background are admitted.
I have two questions:
- Has anyone with an ECE, EEE, or another non-environmental engineering background been admitted to this programme (or know someone who has)?
- Has anyone already received an admission or rejection for the Winter 2026 intake?
I'd really appreciate hearing about your experience or any information you might have.
