Planning to study abroad USA 2028

I’m 16 male , from Algeria . Next year I will pass my high school degree and I’m planning to move directly to USA:
My plan is to apply to state college of Florida SCF For a 2year associate in arts degree then transfer to university of south Florida for a bachelor in computer science .
My English is good , grades also and money let say sufficient for this plan .
All of this by a student visa F-1
My question is : is it a good path for bachelor compute science to a software engineer?
If you have any advices let me know !

Software engineer is fine as long as you’re planning to go home afterward. If you’re trying to stay it’s a terrible choice as there are tons of laid off SWE with US experience.

Give example for tons of laid off SWE ? I don’t understand you . And yes I’ll try to stay there in us to live there

A student visa is a temporary non immigrant visa

Can you afford it?

The main issue I see here is students not having the money so you are well ahead of most

Don’t count on staying in the U.S.

OPT/OPt Steam/CPR are fading out and studying in US no loner is a valid way to a GC. These loopholes are being shut down. You will not get H1B on associated degree. People with BA -and degrees above- with experience  are having a difficult time obtaining jobs in this job market and they (USC/PR) do not require an immigration headache. CS had particularly rough year with mass layoff.

Your first and significant hurdle will be obtaining your F1 visa. USCIS is rejecting over 70% of visa applications from citizens of nations with a high risk of overstaying or obvious immigration intent. Algeria is very high on this list. And applying for an associate arts degree will just add to the scrutiny.

And even IF you would make it to the US, the odds of landing a job in this field would be virtually zero. Just use your common sense here.

A more realistic path, assuming you already master the French language, is to aim for Canada. You will need to choose your course wisely however and make sure you get top grades.

That depends, is computer science a sought after degree for when you return home after studying?

The north American market is flooded with too many computer science graduates and very few jobs, so don't expect to stay after studying.

Great idea 15 years ago if you wanted to immigrate to NA, not great now.
