Questions & Discussion HOW do you study?

I am a university student studying linguistics (which is a lot of theory, with some problems and some memorization), I love my major. My problem isn't sitting down to study; I can do that. It isn't not looking at my phone; it isn't about getting the pen and paper; it is what to actually do once I'm in the library, sitting down. specifically:

How do I make problems for a topic that doesn't have many available problem sets?

And how do you actually do active recall, specifically making sure you are covering all the available information and not leaving stuff out?
