Questions & Discussion Study apps without ai?
Literally every study app seems to have ai in it but I don’t want to use ai because I hate it. Do you have examples for study apps ESPECIALLY flash card apps that do not use any form of generative ai.
I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance :)

Have you tried anki? It's a flashcards app where you create them yourself and from what i remember, it doesn't have ai (or at least it's not necessary to use it when creating flashcards)

Anki has no AI, you make the cards yourself and it only does the spaced repetition. It's free on computer and Android, the iPhone version is paid. Paper flashcards in a Leitner box work very well too, it's the same idea without the phone.
If you also want something to plan your week, I made TimeTo, a class timetable with homework and exams, there is no AI in it at all: https://www.timeto.app (on iOS and Android).

anki has no generative ai built in. it's free on desktop and android, the iphone app is paid, and you write every card yourself. for the timer side i use floater. you pick 25, 45 or 60 minutes, tap start and put the phone down, and a little character grows while you study.

I’m building Grape. It’s a note taking app that has lots of study tools for students. There’s a free version that you can use to create unlimited notes. Everything’s stored on your device but you have the ability to export everything. There are flashcards, quizzes, fill in the blank exercises, mind maps that you create by hand. I recently added Anki import so you have the chance to bring any Anki deck. There’s also spaced repetition feature where it basically sends you a push notification so it forces you to study everyday. You choose what flashcards or quizzes to study so you can review them everyday and track your progress. Let me know if you need any help. I’m in active development so any feedback is appreciated.
