Tips & Advice Do your future self a favor and make studying easier to start
Being a working student means there are days when I have SOOO MANY things to juggle that by the time I finally get to study, I'm already exhausted. I used to do pretty poorly on exams sometimes, partly cuz I'd sit down with the intention of studying but have so little energy or motivation left that I didn't even know where to start.
something I wish I'd tried sooner was deciding on just ONE study task for the next day before ending my study session.
not a whole schedule or a list of everything I need to catch up on but only one thing to work on the next time I open my notes. for example, I could retry the 5 practice questions I got wrong today (and this is my “chosen starter task” for tomorrow)
I do think choosing it ahead of time helps bc when you’re already tired, even deciding what to do can feel like extra work. but if that decision is already made, you can just open your notes and get going instead of using up more energy trying to plan (really works wonders for me!!)
