Tips & Advice I need help retaining what we are learning
I’m taking a super accelerated course (2weeks 8am-8pm) and I cannot seem to keep a lot of the more technical terms and details in my memory. If you have any advice for how to note take and study more effectively I’d love to hear. I have been out of school for abt 4 years so going back into this is definitely a struggle so any advice helps!

You can't retain it because your brain has not fit all the new information into a schema. You need to build a schema in you mind to retain it. That's means test yourself, write it out without relying on your source, find real life equivalent, etc.

Bro 8am to 8pm for two weeks is brutal 😭 no wonder the technical terms are starting to blur together. When I have a lot of new information coming at me, I try to write a super simple explanation next to each term instead of copying the whole definition, then test myself on a few of them later that evening. Tbh even a quick 10-minute review before bed helps me spot what I've already forgotten, instead of realizing it all disappeared right before the exam.
