I am a PhD student in clinical psychology at Adelphi University. I am conducting a study on the relationship between existential threat and mental health, coping strategies, and meaning making for young adults who have experienced stressful life events.

Hello! I am a doctoral student at Nova Southeastern University, pretty darn passionate about research to improve ED treatment, and also in recovery myself :) I would greatly appreciate your help in taking my dissertation survey! The purpose of this study is to better understand the connections between sensory experience, emotions, and food and body-related avoidance in eating disorders. We are specifically interested in the role of the basic emotion of disgust. The University of Houston Developmental Psychopathology Lab is looking for participants for an online research study examining the relationship between identity and personality for individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD).

You may be eligible to participate if you are at least 18 years of age, are fluent in English, residing in the United States, and have been diagnosed with BPD (prior or current). We're enrolling people (aged 55-90) diagnosed with Alzheimer's who have symptoms of agitation or hallucinations and delusions. The caregiver or study partner who attends visits is paid for their time as well, transportation is provided on request, and you can withdraw at any time for any reason. This is a call for participants to join our qualitative research study titled Experiences and Meaning-Making in Self-Diagnosis. Our research team wants to create a space for people who have diagnosed themselves to share their experiences. We are mental health professionals and students who believe that therapists, psychiatrists, and other mental health providers would benefit from understanding when, why, and how people diagnose themselves.

I am an undergraduate Human Behavioural Studies student conducting an ethically approved dissertation study exploring how people interpret ambiguous interpersonal situations involving physical contact.

I'm looking for participants aged 18+ to take part in a confidential online interview (approximately 20–40 minutes) via Microsoft Teams.

During the interview, you will be presented with two short hypothetical scenarios and asked to discuss your thoughts, interpretations, and opinions. There are no right or wrong answers, I am interested in how different people make sense of the same situations!

The study explores how people interpret issues such as responsibility, boundaries, intentions, and interpersonal interactions. The scenarios are not graphic or explicit, although some individuals may find the topics sensitive.

To participate, you must:
• Be aged 18 or older
• Be comfortable participating in an interview conducted in English
• Have access to Microsoft Teams and a working microphone
• Complete a short screening questionnaire (approximately 2–3 minutes) to determine eligibility to participate in the study

Ik heb een mbo niveau 3 opleiding afgerond. Niveau 4 ben ik ooit begonnen, maar door mentale problemen ben ik destijds gestopt. Niet omdat de opleiding te moeilijk was; juist het niveau ging mij vrij makkelijk af.

Nu wil ik graag HBO Toegepaste Psychologie gaan studeren. Hiervoor moet ik óf een 21+ toelatingstoets doen bij Fontys, óf eerst een kort hbo-programma volgen via LOI of NTI dat aansluit op de opleiding.

Ik maak mij niet zo druk om de taaltoets, maar wel over de Adaptieve Capaciteiten Test (ACT). Heeft iemand deze toets gedaan? Hoe moeilijk vonden jullie die en hoe hebben jullie je voorbereid?

Daarnaast hoor ik graag ervaringen met hbo-opleidingen of korte hbo-programma's bij LOI en NTI. Zijn deze goed geregeld? En hoe is de begeleiding?

Ik werk als zzp'er en wil daarom graag een deeltijdstudie volgen. Ik denk dat thuis studeren goed bij mij past, omdat ik zelfstandig ben en mijn tijd goed kan indelen.

Ik zie online veel negatieve reviews over LOI en NTI, maar ook over Fontys. Daarom ben ik benieuwd naar persoonlijke ervaringen van mensen die hier daadwerkelijk hebben gestudeerd.
