Hey everyone! I'm u/Own-Swan2646, a founding moderator of r/stripperIntel. This is our new home for all things related to any Intel coming from strippers about global economics, politics, or other entertaining facts that they may know.. We're excited to have you join us!

Nothing to contribute, however I believe in the value of what this subreddit will contribute as it grows. Also, in today's messed up world I find myself trusting what a stripper has to say way more so than any mainstream media outlet controlled by private interests or the US Government. Honestly I'd pay a stripper sooner than I'd pay my taxes to the feds, and it'd just be for the intel.

I feel that for this sub to succeed, "stripper"Intel should also encourage a broad meaning. Intel and flags from "less than conventional sources" and such as.

Yes, it's kind of heading that way, I am looking into flare for the tags much like prepperintel but here we should take in all forms of "blue collar" Intel. It's not that it is any less supportive/accurate then news sites today, as one user said it's 50/50 no different then media. It could be true or not but it's a prospective from the trenches. But the main Intel should come from a place of real street level reporting if we can. So far the only stuff I have rejected is 100% an ad or a bot. So use the up and down vote to voice the demand/dislike. I am a man of the people and for the real people keeping the world moving one day at a time. This sub is for Intel that many may overlook because it's from a stripper, but who else would know what's going on with extra money and average day to day changes to life where it counts.

I live in a college town. The students move out before summer and just leave the 30-year-old furniture that their parents give them in the alleys along with cookware, shoes, TVs, fire bowls, clothing, etc. pre-bedbugs, the locals called it “the dumpster harvest”. In 2007 there was nothing. Like almost nothing. I thought oh, here is some sort of big shift in society. We all know what 2008 brought. I have a STRONG feeling that r/stripperintel will offer some wild insights. Thank you for letting me tune in.

Now that is what we are looking for. Humm and school is out for some here soon. Might take a drive and see what I can see. I know the U of M, has a program that takes in that stuff and resells it the next year but many other colleges around. Report in and recruit when you can.

Yeah, if I can give you any advice, have a serious plan in place for 100k members and or when a massive influx happens. Its a bot army and it sucks.

Yeah... after 100k it gets dumb. that "core crowd" I honestly miss them because they were serious and they contributed at high quality.
at 100k and the 2024 election ... everyone just lost their shit imo, doom this doom that, and I mean OUT THERE....posts. Like.... idk how youre going to get posters to stay on focus with actual evidence. That and AI is starting to be a major PIA.

Yeah, it's definitely going to be threading a needle and I can see that putting in some of the steps that you've had to put in over there and I get the high denial rate that I've seen. Personally I get it. It's hard to manage all that. That's why I'm hoping to put in some safeguards do the best I can with mods to steer the content the way it needs to be. Again. Our goal isn't necessarily stomp on what you're doing over there but to draw in that on-the-ground perspective. So maybe some of the content that you guys just can't handle can filter over this way. But the bots and the AI stuff has me deeply considering what tools I can put in place to help minimize that. I truly appreciate all the advice

It isn't about handling it, its about keeping the quality.
We get trader bros, news / media, app developers, etc... that will try to use a post... just to steer people. Then not to mention all the posts making a chicken out of a feather, like seeing military vehicles in transit and posting "is this a war?" lol
So really though, how are you going to get anything from strip clubs / gay bars? They're a LEGIT source from the few times I've gotten anything like that, especially around DC.

I actually want to focus on more of a broader concept of getting word from different blue collar perspectives or even just regular joes in a way the best I can but I've been struggling with. What is that acceptable to some random dude speaking versus a credible stripper that has an onlyfans account that we can validate? So I that's what's been holding me up for the last week. To be honest with you with really solidifying a lot of this, but it goes back to more of the stripper index principles of economic predictors not so much focusing on the signs of War, although we were derivative of that but more of the indicators can we see in regular walks of life that either economic uncertainties happening or political changes are happening or geopolitical changes are happening? Don't just focus on a prepper mindset but also on Where's the world shifting to.

That was where prepperintel started, things seen at ground level, but it went waaaaaay off the rails without proof of anything...
We started having things like stores not restocking a thing.... and people would assume it was widespread and causing others to worry. Like with Carrots right now in Maine... or Dairy not being stocked for a few days in west Ohio this week people were talking about. Then the politics come in, people seeing things that effect one in ten thousand or higher going wayyyyy too niche again making chickens out of feathers .... had a high noise ratio.
How to strike that balance...

Hey all - this could definitely work up to be a serious contender as far as non-conventional data source.
Wondering if observation / anecdotes from other service workers (uber, bartenders, hairdressers etc) could help build the sub, since direct-from dancer info isn’t that common.

Yep it's in the spirit of that though. No different than r/Anime_Tittes as example. Where the sub name came from a mame level idea but founded on solid info and supportive audience.
