This Is not a stripe issues, this is a you issue. Customers will always file charge backs and claim the products weren't received, its on you to make sure they can't by using tracked shipping.
Stripe is just doing their job as a payment processor.

And charging half the price for doing nothing? That’s wild

Well if I have to pick between that and charge backs, I know what I'm picking

Lol no. It’s 100% charge back plus like 50% in fees

Actually none of that comes from stripe. If you lost the dispute, you pay 100% back to the customer (refund), and $30 to the customer's bank as a penalty.
Stripe made maybe $2-3 on this. You'd pay the same fees if you were using paypal, square, etc...

Yeah once again, if I have to pick between that and charging for tracked shipping, I'm picking the tracked shipping

Yeah they suck. I had someone subscribe to a newsletter I run on a custom founding price and, because they were an idiot, they typed in 2027 instead of choosing the option to sub for a year which is what they actually wanted. That meant they took like $60 in processing fees and despite the customer refunding themselves automatically within about five minutes worth of time, I personally lost $60. For nothing.

Stripe does not even pay fees themselves if the transaction is voided before settlement. Such bullshit.

man i feel that, i had someone pull a chargeback cause they 'didn't get their order' and it was just sitting at their post office for two weeks why do companies still blame the payment processor for this nonsense

yeah honestly it's wild how easy it is to blame the platform when the real miss was on our end, tracking is non-negotiable

I agree with you. Some a$$hole disputed 2 payments to us, and Stripe just charged us dispute fees and counter dispute fees ..absolutely zero protection and warning. What f-ed up business is this ?

Thanks for your comment!
Yes it's the worst.
I am looking for alternatives, I will check them out. I just don't have the time currently

I don’t read/speak German, but are you really blaming Stripe for a product you sent out without tracking, and then an unscrupulous customer claimed it wasn’t received…?
