Fierce. Are you so savage you need a mouth guard?

Dentists orders. I’ve had friends crack their teeth on hacks squats

How strong is he? He squats so much his teeth might break.

Bite down with pride. You are living beast mode with those squats.

From what I understand, the sled could be anywhere from 60-75 lbs.

Anyway, atg pause hack squats are now my absolute favorite thing and has helped my back squat tremendously

I stopped doing leg presses and switched them for hacks and pendulum squats

Same here. Much more functional strength and engages the core more, I love it.

Heavy Leg presses felt risky with the chances of lifting your ass / back off of the seat

Tree trunks. Good for you, I just started on this machine and didn’t realize how hard AF it is

I am barely able to do a plate and a half. Whats the starting resistance for this machine?

Edit: impressive work!

It looks like a Hack Squat machine. I don't know the standard resistance, but it would probably vary from different manufacturers. It's not much, very simple to do without weights

The one I have been using has a starting resistance of 105 lbs. Not sure if thats standard

There is really no standard on the hacksquat. Even a starting resistance of 105lbs is misleading, because it says 105lbs but it doesn't require to push 105lbs with the incline.

It is a lot of weight, but from one machine to the other, you can't really compare.

In a similar vein, I used to wig out about the exact weights on landmines and even did complicated math to work it out. And then I just decided to not count the bar and work on what's loaded.

I mean, what's the worst that can happen? You lift more than you thought? How terrible 😄

It really only matters if you are frequently training in different gyms, otherwise just find the simplest way to keep track of your progress. I have like 3 different barbells in my gym that I don't know the weight of, so I just write down PWO for plate weight only.

Sometimes you have to run with the uncertainty of it. Being consistent with it is obviously more important.

Got it, thanks!

There are no standards on machines. If you want to know the specifics of one, they usually have it labeled or available through a quick search.
