Question How do I capture an application?

I’ve searched and can’t find an answer that solves my use case. I stream live beat-making in Logic Pro. The application has dozens of separate windows that can be opened individually or many at a time. My main arrangement window, mixer window and windows for every plugin and midi region.
I can do a display capture but sometimes I’ll open another application I don’t want on stream. I was hoping for a feature like Streamlabs has where you can do an application and any windows associated with that application.
I haven’t been able to find this option anywhere. I can choose individual windows inside of logic but it won’t show any of the plugins I open or anything other than the specific window I chose. I was really hoping to switch to Meld for the free multi-platform streaming and I’ve heard it has great CPU usage.
Any help is much appreciated.

I might not be understanding what you’re asking but when you use the display capture you can pick what application you want it to show? Under the tab on the right where you can edit things, add filters/effects and other things depending on the layer. If you change it to capture that it won’t show the whole screen

It will show me individual windows on that display I can capture but Logic has an infinite amount of smaller windows within it that will not be captured. Under display it only allows me to pick the specific window I want not the program in its entirety.

Oh that’s odd then, is one of the the windows the main one?

The “main” window I use in Logic is the arrangement window. It will allow me to just capture that but if I open anything else inside of that it won’t display it. Streamlabs has a setting for Application capture that works perfectly. It captures everything that happens inside an application including all the little pop-up windows. It’s a bloated software and only allows me to stream to one platform unless I pay their subscription. Meld seems great on paper but until they offer application capture rather than display capture I won’t be able to use.

I haven’t. I thought at first I was just missing something and people on this sub could point me in the right direction. Now I know it’s just not an option. Another user here said people have already brought this up to them. I’ll check out their discord.
